New Jersey resident Jeremy Arrington received a 375 year sentence for murdering three people in 2016, including two children, in a fit of rage over a Facebook comment.

Essex County Superior Court Judge Ronald Wigler told Arrington, 32, that he had committed “perhaps the most horrific, heinous, cruel, and depraved murders this county has ever seen.”

Last month, an Essex County jury deliberated for less than two hours before convicting Arrington on 28 charges, including three counts of murder, three counts of attempted murder, burglary, and criminal restraint.

Prosecutors said that Arrington entered an apartment in Newark on November 5, 2016, restrained, and tortured and mutilated nine people inside, including Aerial Little Whitehurst, 7, Al-Jahon Whitehurst, 11, and Syasia McBurroughs, 23.

The children’s 29-year-old mother and her 13-year-old twins survived the attack.

“He caused as much pain as he could to that family,” said Essex County Deputy Assistant Prosecutor Justin Edwab, who described Arrington’s acts as “pure evil.”

Authorities claimed Arrington, who was a suspect in an earlier shooting and sexual assault, became enraged when the 29-year-old mother commented on a Facebook post about Arrington being wanted by the police.
