Reese finished with 15 points, 14 rebounds and six assists. But her biggest moment came with the game tied and three seconds on the clock — a missed putback that could have won it for Atlanta.

The jab at Paul George wasn’t random. Freedom mocked George’s “Podcast P” brand and his declining performance — the nine-time All-Star averaged just 17.3 points last season, down from a career-best 28.0.

But the real story isn’t about basketball stats. It’s about Freedom exposing the WNBA’s refusal to protect women’s sports from biological men.

The 11-year NBA veteran has been challenging the league’s transgender policies for weeks by threatening to declare for the 2027 draft himself. Former NBA forward Royce White joined the protest.

Freedom laid out his strategy during an interview with former Auburn coach Bruce Pearl.

“By their rules, if I step on that court and identify as a woman, I am allowed to play. Next spring, I’m going to take my talents and join the WNBA.”

He even fantasized about teaming up with Caitlin Clark in Indiana.

“Me and Caitlin will be modern Kobe and Shaq,” he said.

The WNBA Players Association recently issued a vague statement “embracing diversity and inclusion” while completely dodging the biological reality that male athletes would obliterate female competition. They refuse to acknowledge what every rational person already knows — men and women are physically different.

Freedom’s threat isn’t just trolling. It’s brilliant activism. By following the league’s own woke rulebook to its logical conclusion, he’s forcing them to confront the absurdity they’ve created.

If the WNBA won’t protect female athletes, Freedom will make them explain why a 6’10” former NBA center should be allowed to compete against women. They wrote the rules. He’s just willing to play by them.
