January 1, White House: Millions of Households Eligible for Free Internet

Published

on

The White House announced that 20 internet service providers have agreed to offer $30 high-speed internet plans to low-income households — effectively giving free internet access to millions of families through the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).

The ACP provides low-income households with a $30 monthly discount for internet service from the 1,000+ participating providers — including Verizon, Comcast, and Charter, which cover more than 80% of the U.S. population.

ACP eligible families who choose to apply their ACP benefit to one of these plans will get high-speed internet at no monthly cost,” a senior Biden administration official said.

Up to 48 million families qualify for the program, but only about 11.5 million have signed up.

    More redistributing of wealth.
More unfair advantages for the least likely to produce or assimilate, paid for those of us who weren’t afraid to work for what we have.
    More Ballot Harvesting
