Good Morning Middle Americans!

Have you notice that certain White House officials seem to be disappearing from certain cable news shows? Maybe that’s because they don’t want to talk about the mounting impeachment probe against president Trump. One that even has Fox News Polls showing an increase in the percentage of American who favor President Trump’s impeachment and removal from office. 

Meanwhile, in Washington D.C. and in Philadelphia, NBA security officials remove pro-Hong Kong signs and protestors. I’m sorry I thought this was the United States of America.  And in California, millions of people are playing a waiting game with wind, power and Pacific Gas & Electric. The utility company is watching the weather while deciding whether to restore power to an enormous portion of the state blacked out on purpose. Where is everyone going to charge their Teslas?

White House Aides Try Disappearing Act Amid Impeachment Talk

(AP) — They’ve skipped the high-profile Sunday TV shows and avoided driveway chat sessions with reporters. Few who are typically eager to defend the president have appeared at all on television so far this month.

White House officials close to President Donald Trump are pulling off a disappearing act, remaining largely absent from public view — in the middle of the storm over impeachment.

“We invited the White House on to answer questions on the show this morning,” CNN’s Jake Tapper explained to his viewers on Sunday’s “State of the Union.” ″They did not offer a guest.”

Fox News Poll: Record support for Trump impeachment

(Fox News) – Just over half of voters want President Trump impeached and removed from office, according to a Fox News Poll released Wednesday.

A new high of 51 percent wants Trump impeached and removed from office, another 4 percent want him impeached but not removed, and 40 percent oppose impeachment altogether. In July, 42 percent favored impeachment and removal, while 5 percent said impeach but don’t remove him, and 45 percent opposed impeachment.

NBA Fans Booted for Supporting Hong Kong in Philly, D.C.

(Buzzfeed News) – Several fans were escorted out of NBA preseason games this week after holding up signs and voicing support for pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong as the league grapples with the backlash over its statements in support of China.

At least three fans at games in Philadelphia and Washington, DC, reported being removed from the arenas, while others said officials confiscated their “Free Hong Kong” signs.

Millions in California Playing a Waiting Game Over Forced Blackouts

(Sacramento Bee) – Northern California’s electric company turned the power off for hundreds of thousands of customers Wednesday – and then back on for some – during a dramatic day that caused confusion and angry reactions from both the public and public officials.

Pacific Gas & Electric Co. shut down power to more than 500,000 homes and businesses, an estimated 2-million-plus Northern California residents, creating the largest blackout in state history.
