January 1, Vanna White Hires Star Lawyer Amid Surprising Allegations

- Vanna White, co-host of “Wheel of Fortune,” has hired high-profile attorney Bryan Freedman to assist her in negotiating her new contract and addressing allegations of pay discrimination.
- Despite her long tenure on the show, White has not received a salary increase in 18 years and currently earns $3 million per year, a stark contrast to Pat Sajak’s annual salary of $15 million.
- While there are rumors about the potential elimination of White’s role from some Sony Pictures executives, incoming host Ryan Seacrest expressed enthusiasm about working alongside her, emphasizing her crucial role in the show. Sony Pictures has yet to comment on the situation.
In what might be a significant turn in the world of television game shows, Vanna White, the co-host of “Wheel of Fortune,” has reportedly recruited a high-powered attorney.
This decision comes on the heels of Sony Pictures’ announcement of Ryan Seacrest as the successor to Pat Sajak upon his retirement.
According to Puck News, White has chosen Bryan Freedman, a lawyer known for his roster of high-profile clientele that includes names such as Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Gabrielle Union, and Chris Harrison.
Freedman, whose expertise lies in ironing out disputes between TV personalities and their networks, is set to help White negotiate her new contract and fight for better compensation in the wake of allegations of pay discrimination.
Puck News further reports on Freedman’s determined stance against Sony over potential pay disparity and gender discrimination with respect to White’s salary.
Astonishingly, White hasn’t had a salary increase in nearly two decades.
Despite her high-profile role and enduring presence, she has only received occasional bonuses but never a straight pay raise.
To many, this scenario appears ludicrous given her significant contribution to the show’s popularity.
Adding to this, White’s annual salary is only a fraction of what Sajak earned – she rakes in $3 million compared to Sajak’s hefty $15 million.
The salary of incoming host Ryan Seacrest remains undisclosed.
Amid all this, there are murmurings from some Sony Pictures executives about potentially phasing out White’s role, a surprising consideration given that she has become virtually synonymous with “Wheel of Fortune.”
However, this may be unlikely as Seacrest expressed his expectation and excitement to work alongside White, underscoring her importance to the show.
Bottom Line
Sony Pictures has, so far, remained silent about the situation surrounding White and her contract negotiations.
Yet, this situation serves as a poignant reminder of the ongoing battle for pay parity in all industries, not least the high-profile world of television.
As we wait to see how this wheel spins, the hope is that White’s stand leads to a fair resolution, and potentially, a new dawn in pay equality.

I for one have no sympathy for these over paid whiners. Note show owners it does not take a lot of skill to flip over letters and I am sure there are millions who would take the gig for a hell of a lot less.

Since whiteand sajack had wor together for many years I thought one on one and look like they had equal billing so I thought Thad they were paid about the same Pat would have really made all these years with vana wit and straight person for the show so with her years she should be paid with close to what Sercrest would make if not the watching public will jus quit watching the show and it will end

I met Vanna at a trade show a few years ago, we had coffee, she is a very nice person. If she goes, I would no longer watch the “Wheel”. She deserves more income as sh IS the show with Pat S.

While $3,000,000.is nothing to sneeze at, the fact that Vanna never a raise is deplorable. It’s almost like a slap in the face.

Well, I identify as DEPLORABLE and 3M bucks is still nice, but yes, I would have to agree that she deserves some kind of raise every year since starting off.

Anna should retire. The show doesn’t need her. They can create a new board that automatically lights up the letters.
