January 1, Uvalde Police Chief Ignores State Investigators

Peter Arredondo, the police chief of Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (CISD), hasn’t responded to state officials’ request for a follow-up interview in their investigation into the elementary school shooting that left 21 people dead.

Arredondo participated in an initial interview with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) but hasn’t yet responded to multiple requests for follow-ups, a DPS spokesperson said.

While Arredondo hasn’t responded to requests for additional interviews, “Uvalde and Uvalde CISD departments have been cooperating with investigators,” DPS spokesperson Travis Considine said.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) said he was “livid” over the initial reports that showed a swift response from local police.

Investigators must “get to the very seconds of exactly what happened with 100 percent accuracy and explain it to the public and most importantly to the victims who have been devastated,” Abbott said.

Seems like the Broward County Cowards have been doing some crisis training in Texas.
