Wyatt’s Take

  • Defense lawyers for Tyler Robinson are pushing hard to slow the case.
  • Prosecutors say they have DNA evidence and a note admitting violent intent.
  • The family of Charlie Kirk is calling for a swift trial and accountability.

The trial of the man accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk is moving slowly.

Robinson allegedly shot Kirk on a college campus while Kirk was speaking to a crowd of students.

Prosecutors say they have DNA evidence and a written note from the suspect admitting his violent intent.

Kirk’s widow, Erika, is demanding a speedy trial.

She warned the court against delays that keep her family from finding closure after this act of political violence.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for the aggravated murder charge.

Robinson also faces charges for witness tampering and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child.

“Justice delayed is justice denied,” one prosecutor told the judge.

The defense team is also trying to hold prosecutors in contempt for public comments about the strength of their evidence.

The suspect reportedly left a note for his partner saying he planned to take the opportunity to kill Kirk.

Family members eventually turned him in after recognizing his face in photos released by the FBI.

Legal experts note that 96 percent of local residents are already aware of the case.

The defense claims it cannot get a fair trial.

Wyatt Matters

Middle America expects the rule of law to be swift and certain when violence targets a public voice.

Delays only deepen distrust and deny families the justice they deserve.

We need justice but need to also make sure the right people are convicted. MLK, JFK & Robert Kennedy were all killed by someone other then the people convicted. Likely govt attached. Would not put that past Biden’s bunch for a second.
