Trump’s Social Media App Goes Live

Former President Donald Trump’s new social media platform is officially available in Apple’s App Store.

Truth Social, developed by Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), topped the list of free app downloads shortly after its launch. It was listed as the iOS App Store’s #1 social networking app on Monday evening.

Many users reported either having trouble registering for an account or were added to a waitlist with a message: “Due to massive demand, we have placed you on our waitlist.”

The new venture marks Trump’s potential return to social media after being banned from several platforms last year.

Truth Social has been in beta since December, with roughly 500 users on the platform.

Former Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), who helms TMTG, said he hoped the service would be “fully operational” by the end of March.

“Our goal is, I think we’re going to hit it, I think by the by the end of March we’re going to be fully operational at least within the United States,” Nunes told Fox News on Sunday.

As of this reporting, the Truth Social website is accepting sign ups for their waiting list.
