January 1, Trump’s OMB Director Faces Pressure to Halt Planned Parenthood Funding

Hey folks, some important news out there! Conservative groups are standing up and asking the new boss of the Office of Management and Budget to stop giving our hard-earned taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood.

The letter came from folks over at Advancing American Freedom, with lots of signatures from pro-life leaders like Lila Rose from Live Action and Bob Van Der Plaat from The Family Leader. They’re reminding the OMB Director, Russ Vought, of something he said not too long ago. He talked about how crucial defending life is and praised President Trump for always choosing life whenever he could.

Back in April 2024, Vought posted on X that President Trump, despite some challenges, did something really big for the pro-life cause by ending Roe v. Wade. He stood strong when others didn’t.

The letter to Vought is saying they’re eager to back him in stopping wasteful spending. They want all federal money going to Planned Parenthood cut off because they believe Americans shouldn’t pay for abortions with their tax dollars.

The groups highlight some shocking numbers: in 2022 alone, Planned Parenthood was responsible for ending nearly 400,000 lives. And government reports say they got a whopping $148 million in grants and over a billion dollars from programs like Medicare and Medicaid.

That’s a lot of taxpayer money, and the letter argues this shouldn’t be happening. They’re upset because taxpayer dollars are making up a huge chunk of Planned Parenthood’s income, even helping to keep them operating.

And it’s not just about abortions. Planned Parenthood has also become a big player in providing transgender medical services. They’ve been giving out treatments like hormones and puberty blockers, even to young folks.

For instance, in a report last October, a clinic in New Jersey quickly prescribed hormones to a young man with autism and other issues. And someone named Helena shared how she quickly got testosterone from a Chicago-area clinic.

It’s clear these conservative groups want change. They’re calling for action to stop taxpayer money from supporting things many folks find concerning at Planned Parenthood.

Wyatt Matters!

Conservative groups are raising their voices and urging action because they believe our tax money should not go to Planned Parenthood. These groups want to make sure that the Office of Management and Budget’s new leader stops this spending. They think it’s important because taxpayers should not be funding abortions, and Planned Parenthood has been involved in many, with shocking numbers reported.

Additionally, there are concerns about the type of medical services Planned Parenthood is providing. They are offering treatments like hormones and puberty blockers, even to young people. Some quick decisions in clinics have raised eyebrows, like how fast hormones were prescribed to a young man with autism. Stories from clinics in New Jersey and Chicago show why some people believe this needs closer examination.

The groups signing the letter are not only worried about the type of care provided but also about how much money Planned Parenthood receives from programs such as Medicare and Medicaid. They believe it’s too much, and they’re asking for change. They want people in charge to reconsider and ensure taxpayer money aligns better with what many citizens feel is right.

Yes, the government needs to stop taxpayers money going to PLANNED PARENTHOOD ( BABY MURDER CLINICS OF AMERICA ).
400,000 MURDERS in 2020, ALONE, HOW MANY MORE SINCE THEN, AND SO FAR THE FIRST MONTH AND A HALF OF 2025. THIS IS DISGUSTING !!!!!!

The women voting/fighting for abortion should pay for their own; my taxpayer dollars can absolutely be better spent, EX: veterans in need of help; our homeless who need medical attention, etc
