January 1, Trump Unveils Portal Slashing Drug Prices

Wyatt’s Take
- TrumpRx.gov launches to cut high prescription costs.
- Massive savings advertised on Ozempic, Wegovy, and fertility drugs.
- Plan aims to help regular Americans struggling with health costs.
President Trump announced a new website designed to give regular folks a break on prescription drug costs. The TrumpRx.gov portal targets the 40 most commonly used and expensive medicines.
The White House says prices will drop for important drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy, used for diabetes, heart disease, and obesity.
According to the figures released, monthly Ozempic costs could fall from over $1,000 to about $350. Wegovy may drop from almost $1,350 to as low as $199 per month, depending on the dose.
Folks seeking fertility treatments also may see big savings. The program reports average discounts of more than $2,000 each cycle for fertility drugs.
This move puts cost relief in the hands of middle-class Americans, who see high drug prices stretching their family budgets each month.
Programs like this aim to make healthcare fairer for folks in the middle of the country who work hard and expect an honest chance to afford what they need.
