January 1, Trump Outsmarts Media With Christmas Speech
Wyatt’s Take
- Trump threw the media off with a surprise move.
- He hinted at big foreign policy news but delivered a message on his achievements instead.
- This strategy got more folks listening to what he’s done for the country.
President Trump set the stage by making it seem like he might announce major action in Venezuela. The media rushed in, expecting big news.
Instead, Trump used the attention to highlight what he’s accomplished. This move had many tuning in who might not have listened otherwise.
“He did a bit of a headfake. He shared with certain media members that he was going…to be announcing some sort of interventionist war in Venezuela. … I think that just made all the more people tune in for Trump to tout all the great stuff he’s doing.”
It goes to show: if you want folks to hear your message, sometimes you have to catch them off guard.
Don’t let the media decide what you hear—pay attention and judge for yourself.
Wyatt Matters
When leaders outsmart the media, everyday Americans get a chance to hear the truth straight. Middle America values honesty and common sense, not media games.
