Wyatt’s Take

- Trump calls Maduro’s crew terrorists, promises a tough stance.
President Trump just ordered a “total and complete blockade” of Venezuelan oil tankers under sanctions.
He did this after the U.S. already seized a tanker and doubled down on isolating Venezuela’s main funding source.
“Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled in the History of South America. It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the United States of America all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
He added, “The illegitimate Maduro Regime is using Oil from these stolen Oil Fields to finance themselves, Drug Terrorism, Human Trafficking, Murder, and Kidnapping. For the theft of our Assets, and many other reasons, including Terrorism, Drug Smuggling, and Human Trafficking, the Venezuelan Regime has been designated a FOREIGN TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.”
Trump said criminals sent by Maduro are being sent back fast, warning, “America will not allow Criminals, Terrorists, or other Countries, to rob, threaten, or harm our Nation and, likewise, will not allow a Hostile Regime to take our Oil, Land, or any other Assets, all of which must be returned to the United States, IMMEDIATELY.”
Most of Venezuela’s oil heads to China. Chevron still manages to work in Venezuela under a U.S. waiver. They say operations aren’t disrupted and are following the rules.
For months, the Trump administration has hit alleged drug boats off Venezuela, knocking out over 20 ships in the region to fight cartels.
The administration has called Maduro a cartel leader and put a $50 million bounty on him. Belarus’s president even said he’d take Maduro in if he gives up.
Wyatt Matters
America can’t afford to let foreign dictators push us around or threaten our resources. Standing tough on our borders and defending the things we’ve built is what keeps our families safe and our nation strong.
