Wyatt’s Take

  • Trump thanked FBI whistleblowers who exposed bias after January 6.
  • He promised a new era for the agency, free from politics.
  • Leadership changes aim to restore trust among agents and the public.

President Trump took to social media Thursday to thank FBI agents who spoke up about bias in the agency after being sent to the Capitol on January 6.

He promised these agents they now work for leaders committed to rooting out politics from law enforcement.

An after-action report found that over 250 plainclothes agents were sent to the Capitol in a rushed operation, leading to many anonymous complaints about poor planning and safety risks.

Many agents expressed concerns about not having the right equipment or being able to show they were law enforcement to others during the chaos.

“To all the FBI Agents who were forced by Christopher Wray to go to the Capitol on the afternoon of January 6th, and then risked their careers to blow the whistle about the Political Bias and Abuses they witnessed, I want to thank you for your Courage,” Trump posted.

“I want to assure you that you now work for a Director, Kash Patel, and an Attorney General, Pam Bondi, who are stamping out Political Bias from the Bureau and DOJ, and making sure Agents pursue criminals without regard to their political stripe, just the evidence,” he wrote.

“Keep up the good work!”

The feedback from agents was reviewed by new leadership and sent to lawmakers investigating law enforcement actions on January 6.

Stay alert for more updates as leadership in these agencies shifts course toward fairness and accountability.
