Wonder if people will ever get back to a level of reason in this country… my parents are dead and I am greatful that they did not survive long enough to see what we have as a nation devolved into… if there is a shred of good news I have friends on both sides of the isle who are largely close to the center and we all still get along just fine… but for the nut cases on each end of the spectrum… I blame politicians and the media for our national divide…

Where do you stand on far left lunacy of transing children, or teaching kids oral sex in schools and having wide open borders for anyone to enter, to name some of the left’s lunacy. Just some transing of children??. Some oral sex classes for some kids and just some of the drug and sex traffickers crossing the border?? That’s what you get when you stand close to the center, as you say in politics.

None of that is true Bret. Why is it that the only people fixated on trans issues are MAGA types. Children are not returning from school with a sex change. Age appropriate sex ed has been around for close to a century and fills in gaps that many parents leave. School is often where a kid learns the truth about the ‘stork’.
And, Jim, I agree that this split is not a good thing. It is another result of electing someone so unqualified as Trump who has misspent his life causing problems for other and always blaming anybody but his own stupidity for the issues he caused.

Really, the only person to blame for the national divide is Donald Trump. It is not a coincidence that this started 10 years ago. Insults, demeaning women, installing trust on 250 years of media all work to destroy national unity. It will take generations to get America’s once proud democracy back. The GOP is also a victim since they will suffer in the wilderness for 4 or 5 election cycles.
