January 1, Trans Day Events Spark Hope and Resilience Nationwide
This weekend, in some of the country’s biggest liberal cities, there are a bunch of events planned for Trans Day of Visibility, which is on Monday. One of these is a “Skillsharing & Practical Survival” workshop trying to push back on the rules President Trump put in place. These rules are about keeping clear definitions of gender.
Zander Moreno, one of the people putting the workshop together in San Francisco, said they want transgender folks to have more than just a fun event. They want them to feel safe and know that there are groups looking out for them and trying to push back against what’s happening in Washington, D.C.
The workshop is part of Trans Fest on Sunday in the Tenderloin area. There’s a lot going on there, starting with a ceremony led by Angel C. Fabian and offering legal help, workshops about rights, classes about politics, and even self-defense lessons.
In Chicago, there’s a big rally happening at Federal Plaza. This is being put on by a bunch of different LGBT groups reacting to what they see as attacks from the MAGA right, the folks in Congress, and the Trump administration. They feel like these groups are making life hard for them with policies they think are hateful.
These groups are calling for equality and support for their rights, wanting to protest together to get attention. The Chicago rally has groups like the Democratic Socialists and teachers’ unions backing it.
Down in Atlanta, the mayor’s office has a Trans Day of Visibility event at City Hall, focusing on how the community talks about itself.
The head of GLAAD, Sarah Kate Ellis, says everyone should come together to support transgender people. She believes that treating people equally shouldn’t be political and that this day gives people a chance to stand up for everyone being safe and accepted.
These events are happening while President Trump has been signing orders to protect women’s sports and clearly define gender as male or female at birth. These orders are about keeping things straightforward and fair. There are also some important cases about gender going to the U.S. Supreme Court soon.

These events show how powerful it is when people come together and work to make the world a better place for everyone.

There are solutions to this. One must consider the fact that “men” and “boys” are different to women and girls. Whether they’re seeing themselves as women or girls does not change the physical differences. Ergo, the idea of taking trans people out of sports meant for the opposite sex makes sense scientifically. End of discussion. Likewise, we’ve had gender specific bathrooms, why not trans specific? I know some places just have bathrooms, period. No gender. So we have to consider being less worried about it on the whole. The solution of having trans only bathrooms are costly and not feasible on the whole, so perhaps a different mindset for all involved. Also, if a persay/on is trans, as in having the operation and all they’re already the male or female they want/feel they are. Let them use the gents or ladies as they are such. Vilifying people who have reason to have dysphagia isn’t right, and our country is about liberty for all, so let’s keep it that way.

My dad chose to change his sex back in the ‘70s. He ended up having a very successful business and seemed to have everything a woman could want. Less than 10 years later, he decided he still wasn’t happy and he remarried (a woman) and returned to living his life as a man. My point is; if a 38-year-old man didn’t know what he really wanted, why would anybody think a child would know?
Stop pushing transgender on children and everyone else. It still eventually leads to an unhappy ending.

I completely agree. When I was young if a person truly thought they were the opposite sex they would have went to a mental institution to try to help them and 99% of the time it worked, so far as I know. At any rate, there was no way on earth that a doctor would condone their delusions nor would the majority of the population. Any doctor would simply have informed the delusional person that there are two sexes and they can’t change. DNA and chromosomes cannot be altered, no matter what someone believes.

Thanks for the heads up … gender dysphoria is serious mental health issue in our country. It is good for others to know when to be on the alert when major events are planned to promote any type of aberrant behavior.

Sickness seems to breed sickness. The only thing I would support for these people is to allow them to sue their parents and medical professionals (misnomer!) for allowing them as children to mutilate themselves. These parents and doctors should go to jail for what they have done to our children.

Federal and state governments spending billions to promote and enforce this deviant ideology. The funding and support of this movement is more than GLAAD, teacher unions, and socialists. It has the same globalist dark money underwriting it as the Burn Teslas fanatics. I am confused. This article and the bio on the small-town conservative author don’t match up. No conservative thinks that wishing makes it so. Conservatives base their world view on reality. Supporting gender dysphoria does not make it better. I suppose if you want to keep the trans community from attacking your city you might have “events” to mollify them. Christians see each “trans” person as an individual with a soul and cares about them, but they don’t celebrate their deviant life-style. So, who IS Wyatt Porter?

I can appreciate this article, not because I agree with the unfortunate people who act out of delusion, but because it is worthwhile to see how strange people think. We have a high trust society, which has made it the most accomplished in history, but also makes it vulnerable to crazyness. I vote for liberty. They can be crazy, but I should not be forced to pay for it, and my kids should not be at risk to being mutilated and decieved by people who are supposed to be trustworthy. When “protectors” become predators we have wandered outside the pale.

Amen to all. How do we help these who are wandering outside the pale? Supporting bad behavior isn’t the answer, but Praying for them and praying God will deliver them from strong delusion can be helpful. 2 Corinthians says, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they CANNOT SEE the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ who is the image of God.” This passage suggests that spiritual blindness PREVENTS unbelievers from understanding the message of the gospel, and wandering into strange beliefs is more likely to occur. God took me personally from my strong delusion, forgave my sins and dumped a large share of His infinite grace into my lap. He can do it for them too!!! Pray without ceasing!

I am glad that finally some sanity has started to come back into society. Biologically born males that are failures in their own respective sports attempting to take over in female dominated sports in the guise of being gender confused. Instead of promoting biologically confused males playing in female sports like the Biden-Harris administration did, there are now laws being drafted and passed to prevent this type of behavior from continuing.

are you kidding, how does “coming together” by those who vehemently oppose Our Constitutional Republic to protest and rebel violently in some cases against the Rule of Law, the Law of Nature, and free and fair elections of a free people makes the “World a Better Place”?
