January 1, Target CEO Confirms Conservative-Led Boycott Worked

In an eye-opening admission, Target’s CEO, Brian Cornell, confirmed that the conservative-led boycott targeting the company’s Pride Month products significantly influenced their sales slump in Q2.

During an investor call addressing the company’s second-quarter figures, Cornell discussed the 5.4% drop in comparable sales and a noticeable 4.9% dip in the total revenue to a substantial $24.8 billion, a stark contrast to the previous year.

Attributing part of this decline to inflation, Cornell didn’t shy away from highlighting another pivotal aspect.

He stated the “negative guest reaction to our Pride collection” played a noteworthy role.

Delving into details, Cornell shared, “As you know, we have featured a Pride assortment for more than a decade.”

The shift in dynamics this year was palpable, as he added, “However, after the launch of the assortment this year, members of our team began experiencing threats and aggressive actions that affected their sense of safety and well-being while at work. So, to protect the team in the face of these threatening circumstances, we quickly made changes, including the removal of items that are at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior.”

Target had recently faced an upsurge of conservative criticism, primarily led by those disapproving of the LGBTQ+ products they introduced for Pride Month.

This backlash wasn’t exclusive to Target, as Bud Light too came under the scanner for choosing to collaborate with Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer and activist.

In response to the mounting pressure and disapproval, Target was quick to issue a statement communicating their decision to pull back certain Pride Month articles from their shelves.

Extending the conversation about Pride Month and Target’s involvement, Cornell reflected, “Looking forward, we’ll continue to celebrate Pride and other heritage moments, which are just one part of our commitment to support diverse teams and guests. However, as we navigate an ever-changing operating and social environment, we’re applying what we learned to ensure we’re staying close to our guests and their expectations of Target.”

Yet, the prevailing undertones remain clear.

Following this investor dialogue, Target announced in a press release a downward revision in its annual sales and profit expectations, hinting at “comparable sales in a wide range around a mid-single-digit decline for the remainder of the year.”

Cornell is a Moron. Threatening, ah no. No one told them they would get hurt, they told them this stocking and celebrating of pride was targeted at children. Shame on Target. I hope the Ban and banishment of Target continues.
This arrogant S.O.B. is the reason that the corporations are targeting us. This corporate attempt at promoting fudge packing is not part of Americans heritage in fact it used to be against the law but thanks to them, more people have AIDS or are being treated for deadly AIDS than ever before.
Why kind of PRIDE is there in being immoral and lascivious?

Wow, the CEO acknowledges what the real issue is, I’m amazed he knew! Anyone with two Brain cells could have looked at the pride display and said, “folks are not gonna like this”! I think including children was the last nail in the coffin. 1 percent of the population shouldn’t command this much commitment! Regular people are not going to be swayed, no matter how much the left pushes!

I am sorry that boycotts have become so frequent. But the left-wing’s addiction to forcing the public to accept its extreme values (or lack thereof), is bound to create backlash. Can anybody imagine if, 20 years ago, bringing drag queens to kindergarteners would have been allowed? Or, looking at the blatant Nazi statements espowsed every day, especially from congress, would have been acceptable 20 years ago? The left wing is trying a revolution, and their long-term goal is to create a weak country of people that self hate. They realize they have nothing objectively to offer, so they are pouring on the extremism hoping to recreate the entire country. Heavy handed abuse of civil rights, and this from those who CLAIM to be progressive, is never ending. Revenge policy is becoming the standard (You had yours and I suffered, so now I get to have mine and have you suffer). Most people find these brutal repressive policies obnoxious. But, they are bringing these lack of values into the public schools. They have already hijacked our so-called institutions of higher learning, turning what should be a venue for questioning into a goose stepping bullying right out of Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia. The extreme reactions of Anheuser-Busch and Target’s little dance with extremism has backfired royally. It would be nice if businesses took note before they plunge into the world of left-wing extremism. Tolerance is good, respect for others is good, but that is NOT what the left wing is about, it is about the opposite, bullying and repressing. If we allow the left-wing extremists to totally hijack the public schools, we are doomed.

I stopped buying from Target when they invited predatory men, claiming to be women, into women’s restrooms!
This dangerous behavior ended it for me.
They can depend on the gay/trans population to survive.

This movement is totally Sick. Against Gods goal for us. There are only two genders of humans, Male and Female. Parents are the ones causing all of this insanity. Doing this to children should be against the law. It is without a doubt child endangerment, child abuse, child neglect. People doing this should be jailed for the treatment of these children. The people with their sick lifestyles should never be allowed to adopt Children. Teachers that push on children should be removed from their jobs and jailed. Store’s promoting this should not be allowed licenses to do business.

I haven’t been to one of your stores since you decided to let trans men use women’s restrooms. Sorry but perverts will fake being trans and young girls and women will end up getting raped. We shouldn’t have to pay that price.

Not only conservatives but many others especially moms. Majority of people still straight and DO NOT want their kids to have this LGBTQ crap pushed on them. There has been over a month of this and the drag queens along with others strongly pushing sexuality crossed the line. Your a store selling merchandise. You know dam well who your customer base yet decide to jump on gay bandwagon. You got a message from Americans. Lets see how well you listened.

I stopped going to Target because of the targeting of children, not because I’m anti-gay, which I’m not. I doubt the CEO tried to understand why their “guests” stopped shopping at their store. They just assumed it was anti-LGBTQ. In other words, lesson NOT learned.

I see no problem with them offering products to adult members of the LGTBQ+ community. It was the designs for and targeting of the young children that I found so abhorrent. But I too stopped shopping there when they allowed predatory men in womens restrooms. What could go wrong did go wrong but they still never amended the policy. Disgraceful.
