January 1, Swim Team Demands Removal of Transgender Teammate

Published

on

Riley Gaines, the former swimmer turned women’s rights activist, has stepped into the spotlight at Roanoke College in Virginia.

The cause? She’s supporting the women’s swim team in their protest against the school’s choice to allow a biologically male transgender individual to join their ranks.

Informed of this decision in September, the team faced internal strife and discord.

Gaines, familiar with the contentious issue from her own experience competing against transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, voiced her understanding of their sentiments of “betrayal and belittlement.”

She asserted, “Allowing males to compete on a women’s team is and always will be unfair.”

Gaines went on to note, “And we as women, we’re being silenced. Our universities and institutions are gaslighting and emotionally blackmailing us to make us the likely oppressors.”

Praising the bravery of the Roanoke College women’s team, Gaines highlighted that future generations of young women “deserve to see themselves as champions.”

One of the prominent voices from the team was Bailey Gallagher, a team captain. Gallagher openly expressed her emotional turmoil after learning about the school’s decision, describing nights of insomnia and days filled with anxiety.

She lamented, “We listened, we spoke, and then quickly learned it was not OK to speak our minds. We were somehow wrong in our feelings.”

Gaines’s alignment with the team solidifies her rising reputation as a fierce advocate for the preservation of women’s sports.

Notably, last month, she commended Texas Governor Greg Abbott for his move to prohibit transgender athletes from participating in women’s collegiate sports, making Texas the latest state in a growing list that has set boundaries on transgender athlete participation at the collegiate level.

This incident and the surrounding debate occur in the backdrop of Virginia’s recent educational policies.

In July, the state’s Department of Education decreed that student participation in athletic programs would hinge on biological sex rather than gender or gender identity.

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, known for championing parents’ rights in education, continues to highlight this issue as a focal point of his governance.

Doesn’t anyone wonder why female to male athletes DON’T even attempt to apply to male teams???
One can feel, believe, alter, and wish…their body is “different” but BIOLOGY is the ultimate decider!! Denying reality is NOT fair. Men who would never win on a man’s team….takes PRIDE?? in winning on a women’s team!!! It’s funny if not plain ridiculous!!.

Any athlete desiring to compete SHOULD be considered as their biologically sex indicates! Simple! Anything else is unfair!!!!

As any “normal” human would say, A MAN IS A MAN AND A WOMAN IS A WOMAN! This transgender bull is more insanity than anything else.

What I didn’t see in this article is that the females on the swim team refused to participate until the gaybo, poor excuse for a male, is removed from the team.
Until these women do this, they will never get anywhere. TAKE A STAND LADIES!

    And FJB!

A lot of college athletes are on scholarship. If they refuse to compete, they lose their scholarships. They are stuck.

If scholarships are dropped they should them sue the College for discrimination…I’m sure some level headed attorney would work on their behalf pro bono. It’s the old joke about putting lipstick on a pig, and its still a pig…double-entendre in this case.

Men have been calling the shots for women for a very long time and women have not stood up against them. The Abortion issue is another situation where males determine what happens to women. And, this is the fault of women because they don’t band together against them — many men walk away from these situations without a care because the ruling group is males. How about women running for office at any level so they can make things fair for each sex. SOLUTION: Have the schools make separate teams at each school that can compete against each other. This would level the playing field, so to speak. As for Abortion, males need to take precautions to avoid pregnancy, just as females should. If one or neither does this, that person should be penalized. In the case of rape or incest, the assaulter needs to be severely punished, regardless of gender. If you don’t stand up and get this done, it will linger for decades, as it has since the 60’s.

Would someone please explain to me why 100% of female sport participants, high School and college, boycott the sport programs they are involved in? They should demand absolutely no males, or former males, be allowed to participate…period!!
There are countless millions of males who were not blessed with the physical qualities and skills to be able to participate in sports. There is more to life than being a jock. There are other ways to compete in life and many of those challenges surpass sports. People, mostly men, who feel they were born in the wrong body need to find something other than sports, just like those I mentioned above who weren’t blessed with physical and mental abilities have to do.

It is absolutely ridiculous to allow a biological male to participate in female sports. Apparently there are many in this United States that hate women and do not want to see them as Champions in their own sport.Only a person who is anti woman could possibly support this ridiculous decision. It is obvious our government does not want to see women to succeed in sports of their own.

Just because you had an operation doesn’t mean you changed sex. You will be the sex that you were when you were born. You will always be that sex no matter what you do to try to change your sex!!! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE SEX YOU WERE BORN AS, NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO TO CHANGE YOUR SEX!!!

I know my idea is radical and probably unpopular. However, the ENTIRE TEAM AND THE COACHING STAFF SHOULD QUIT!

The real irony of this unfairness is that a female will likely never be able to compete against a male team. The whole foolishness of this is a true travesty.

It is unfortunate that the administrators allow this to happen as it truly hurts the female athlete. They need to be bold in their actions and refuse to participate against the biological males; get with the opposing team and with unity refuse to race (or in other sports–play/against or with). Look how ridiculous (or how good — from a different perspective) it would be to watch everyone line up for the race and when the gun sounds watch only the biological male transgender race against himself. I applaud those who champion the true female athlete.

Lia Thomas’s records and results should all be remmoved from all listings since he is not a biological woman.

Alternate action by the women: Force the mentally deranged male to quit. There will not be any cameras in the locker room. Some of you gang up on him and rack his gonads frequently teling him he is not a woman. Then have all the women on the team deny it happened. It (he) is just faking it or doing it to himself (a woman couldn’t do it to her self).

Until women walk away from these universities and don’t throw their money at them, it will be hard to get them to change.
