January 1, State Lawmakers Move to Impeach DA Amid Surging Crime

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…
1940: World War II – France surrenders to NAZI Germany; German troops occupy Paris.
Pennsylvania lawmakers have moved to impeach Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner (D) amid surging crime in the City of Brotherly Love.
“He’s completely lost his mind,” Pennsylvania state Rep. Torren Ecker (R) said. “The people of the city aren’t backing him. Former leaders of the city, current leaders of the city, have called for… him to step in and start prosecuting crimes.”
Republican Reps. Tim O’Neal, Josh Kail, and Ecker introduced articles of impeachment earlier this week. The three lawmakers outlined their reasons during an appearance on Fox & Friends.
“We want to highlight the dereliction of duty that we’ve seen from this district attorney,” Kail said. “Lives have been lost, property has been destroyed, and really, families have been crushed. Enough is enough, and we need to do something. And we need to get back to the basics in this commonwealth and in this nation.”
“We need to get back to law and order,” he added. “Chaos has had too much of a reign in Philadelphia, and it’s time to stop it.”
Krasner addressed the impeachment effort during a press conference on Monday.
“What they are doing in terms of impeachment, clearly without a legal basis, it is clearly unconstitutional. And that will all come out as this proceeds, if it proceeds at all,” he said.
The development comes shortly after 60% of voters successfully recalled former San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin earlier this month.

Dont Impeach. Just Arrest as an accomplice to anyone who committed a murder or serious crime after the DA released him

Being held responsible for the results of not doing what you were elected DA to do? Novel idea, but I believe this hoopla is only for show, same as the anti-crime campaign promises that got him elected DA.

Anotherr “throw-away” leftist scapegoat so his elected co-leaders can look like they care more about citizens than power (especially before the Mid-terms).

It’s republicans calling for this, not democrats so your theory is wrong about saving face for the midterms. The democrats love the violence to take away our rights

I agree Leo, with everything you said in your response to 2004done…apparently he did not read the article thoroughly enough to grasp that it was Republicans calling for his impeachment!

Traitors used to get tarred and feathered and marched through the town square.
Although,
as angry as I am, I’m not sure more violence is a solution.
Hard labor makes a man too tired to be bad.
