January 1, Stacey Abrams Draws Ire Over Fetal Heartbeat Comments

Georgia governor candidate Stacey Abrams drew ire with controversial remarks about fetal heartbeats, wherein she said there’s “no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks.”
“There is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks,” Abrams said during a panel discussion in Atlanta last week. “It is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have a right to take control of a woman’s body away from her.”
Abrams’ controversial remarks quickly drew criticism.
“Just that statement alone should discredit you to the point where people should never listen to anything you ever say again,” said podcaster Joe Rogan. “Who’s manufacturing … what does that mean?”
Rep. Buddy Carter (R-GA) said: “NIH says a fetal heartbeat begins at week 4 – What happened to following the science?”
“I think this is just the oldest trick in the book… in the pro-choice advocacy side, which is to redefine medical language,” said pediatrician Kathleen Berchelmann. “Years ago, they redefined a pregnancy from conception to implantation in the uterus, and now they’re redefining heartbeat versus cardiac activity.”
Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA) raised Abrams’ controversial comments during a House Oversight Committee on Thursday.
“Referring to an unborn baby’s heartbeat as mere cardiac activity does not change the fact it’s another attempt to simply deny what we are talking about, and that is a human life,” he said.
Abrams was against abortion her whole life until she started considering running for elected office at age 30. Earlier this month, she told “The View” that abortion should be allowed until the time of birth if the mother’s health or life is at risk.

Argue all you want but ….I am PRO-CHOICE …. that is not Pro-Abortion.
I TRUST women to make their own decisions on their over bodies and reproductive organs as fully equal to men under the US Constitution.
I support Women’s Rights which are HUMAN RIGHTS!
I support Roe vs Wade as a reasonable compromise on Abortion.
I DO NOT support amendments, regulations and state laws that compromise, impair, impede or diminish Women’s rights to Abortion as a medical option. Any such laws are UNCONSTITUTIONAL, and I will NEVER support those laws.
VOTE BLUE and end the LIES and the INSANITY!

In this day and age I would think that science could come up with a safe easy method of birth control. Then all this Baloney about when is a fetus a live actual person and so on and so on… The dems are using Roe vs Wade to distract the real problems that they have caused. very high Inflation due to wild spending and Biden’s electric car dreams, Involvement in the Ukraine war to the point that Russia is threatening us with nukes, The crime wave that democrat prosecutors put thugs back on the streets to repeat their killing and looting ways with a get out of jail card in their pockets and no fear of ever going to prison thank to VP Harris and her support of fair Bail for minorities, Congress and senate people like Pelosi blatantly getting to reap millions by insider trading, and all the other dirty tricks they come up with. This is America and we’ve gotten to be the richest country in the world by capitalism, free speech, and our constitution with it’s amendments drawn up by our genius founders. Their isn’t a country out there that socialism and communism has given their people a better life than we have here.
