January 1, Serial Loser Makes Bold Prediction About Texas Democrat’s Senate Bid

Wyatt’s Take
- Failed presidential and Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke is back with predictions about flipping Texas — despite his own embarrassing track record of losses
- O’Rourke claims State Rep. James Talarico will become the crucial 51st vote to hand Democrats Senate control
- This is the same Beto who couldn’t win his own state despite millions in out-of-state cash and Hollywood endorsements
A familiar face from the political graveyard is making bold predictions again. Former Representative Beto O’Rourke appeared on MS NOW’s “The Briefing” Wednesday to tout the chances of Texas State Representative James Talarico in his U.S. Senate bid.
O’Rourke, who spectacularly flamed out in both a Senate race and a presidential campaign, told viewers that Talarico would become the decisive 51st vote in the U.S. Senate. That would hand Chuck Schumer and the Democrats the majority they desperately need to ram through their radical agenda.
“Talarico will be the 51st vote in the U.S. Senate,” O’Rourke declared.
The statement comes from a man who somehow convinced himself he could win Texas not once, but twice. O’Rourke lost his 2018 Senate race to Ted Cruz despite raising a record-breaking $80 million, much of it flooding in from coastal elites. He then launched a doomed presidential run that ended in humiliation before limping back to Texas for another failed gubernatorial bid.
Now he’s playing kingmaker for Talarico, a state legislator looking to make the jump to Washington. Democrats have been fantasizing about turning Texas blue for decades, pouring hundreds of millions into the Lone Star State with nothing to show for it but participation trophies and empty promises.
The 51st vote comment reveals the Democrats’ razor-thin grip on power and their desperate scramble to maintain control. Every seat matters when your majority hangs by a thread, and liberals know Texas represents their white whale — the prize that keeps eluding them no matter how much money they spend or how many failed candidates they recycle.
O’Rourke’s track record of political misfires doesn’t inspire confidence in his prognostication abilities. But it does show how badly Democrats want to believe they can crack the Texas firewall that’s protected conservative values and common-sense governance.
Wyatt Matters
When the guy who lost every major race he ever ran starts making predictions, smart folks take it with a mountain of salt. Texas has stayed red because hardworking families see through the coastal elite money and empty promises. They know who fights for their values and who’s just passing through on the way to the next political stunt.
