Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson (R) spoke out against a damning report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that claimed the lawmaker has been using taxpayer dollars to travel between Capitol Hill and Florida.
“This isn’t journalism, it’s advocacy,” Johnson said. “It is a fully coordinated attack by the Dem Party and their allies in the media.”
“When the truth isn’t on their side, Dems and MSM media lie, distort, and engage in the politics of personal destruction,” Johnson said. “Wisconsin and America deserve better.”
The outlet’s report included federal records showing that Johnson had received reimbursement with federal money for 19 flights traveling between Fort Myers, Florida, and Washington, D.C., from 2013 to 2021.
Alexa Henning, a spokesperson for Johnson, responded to the report, saying there was nothing untoward about the reimbursements.
“The senator has always gone above and beyond to abide by Senate rules,” Henning said. “He has never been reimbursed for travel to visit family in Florida but is reimbursed for returning for official business to Washington, D.C.”

If there’s federal records proving this than show the public and let them make there own decision, as for that lying fat blond piece of shit, the only idiots that believes what he says are you empty headed republicans and so far he hasn’t proven shit, he’s nothing but a fat big mouth con artist, every time he tries to prove or do something he thinks is legal he gets it shoved right back up his fat ass. Normal everyday people do not get paid until they punch the clock. If the want to be paid for travel time
Along with the job. Then they should be docked for the time they don’t show up for work. At one time law makers were not paid to represent the people. They work ( loosely said) work 100 days a year and are paid very well by tax payers. They receive quite a few perks. All the American people want them to do is the job they were elected to do. If their way of life was threatened the way ours is changes would be made in hours they would have a bill that protected them. For us they turn a deaf ear.

There are plenty of things to complain about with Congress..this is not one of them. 200 years ago, they rarely met, today it’s a full time job. When they’re not is session, they are home meeting with constituents, along with having some rest & relaxation. We are paying them to be our advocate, they should not have to pay for their travel.
