January 1, Russia Warns US Against Supplying More Arms to Ukraine
Russia has warned the United States to refrain from sending additional arms to Ukraine.
According to Reuters, the U.S. and its allies have sent weapons, including drones, heavy artillery, and missiles.
But Anatoly Antonov, Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., said such supplies were escalating the conflict in Ukraine while also undermining efforts to reach some semblance of a peace agreement.
“What the Americans are doing is pouring oil on the flames,” Antonov told a Russian TV channel. “I see only an attempt to raise the stakes, to aggravate the situation, to see more losses.”
