January 1, “Rotted at Its Core”: Congressional Report Finds FBI Overrun with Corruption
ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…
1860: Republican Abraham Lincoln of Illinois elected the 16th President of the United States of America.
Congressional Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee released a damning report, finding that the FBI is “rotted at its core,” maintains a “systemic culture of unaccountability,” and full of “rampant corruption, manipulation, and abuse.”
The 1,050-page report is a preview of investigations to come should the GOP regain the House in the upcoming midterm elections.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, discussed the alarming report during a Fox News appearance on Friday morning.
“America’s not America if you have a Justice Department that treats people differently under the law,” Jordan said. “It’s supposed to be equal treatment under the law. That’s not happening and we know it’s not happening because 14 brave FBI agents came to us as whistleblowers and told us what exactly is going on here.”
The report cites “a multitude of whistleblowers” who approached the House Judiciary Committee Republicans over the last year.
The lawmakers accuse the FBI of “artificially inflating statistics about domestic violence extremism,” downplaying the serious allegations of wrongdoing against Hunter Biden, and “clearing the Bureau of employees who dissent from its woke, leftist agenda.”
“Quite simply, the problem — the rot within the FBI — festers in and proceeds from Washington,” the report’s executive summary reads. “[T]he FBI and its parent agency, the Justice Department, have become political institutions.”
The lawmakers claim that Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, “received preferential treatment from federal law enforcement, who seem to have turned a blind eye to the potential national security threats presented by his business dealings with Chinese, Russian, and other foreign nationals.”
The report cites whistleblower claims that former FBI agent Timothy Thibault “shut down” the investigation into Hunter Biden and attempted to prevent it from being reopened. The allegations against Thibault were previously publicized by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA).
“According to whistleblowers and other information, Thibault has allowed his political bias to infect and steer his decision-making at the FBI,” the report reads.
The report cites one whistleblower who recalled how he was “‘told that child sexual abuse material investigations were no longer an FBI priority and should be referred to local law enforcement agencies’ so that he could work a Washington-directed politically charged case instead.”
“Such a mis-prioritization is not only a dereliction of duty, but it is a grave disservice to the victims of crimes that do not advance the FBI’s political agenda,” the report reads.
The report also details alleged efforts by the FBI to snuff out dissent pertaining to its investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Whistleblowers claim that employees who attended the pro-Donald Trump “Stop the Steal” rally were stripped of their security clearances — effectively suspending them indefinitely.
At least two of the FBI employees who attended the rally, and were on leave at the time, “did not enter the United States Capitol, have not been charged with any crime, and have not been contacted by law enforcement about their actions.”
“Given these facts, it is deeply concerning that the FBI would question the allegiance of these employees and move to suspend their security clearances,” according to the report.
“In at least one case, a suspended FBI employee was not told why their clearance was being taken away, but was told ‘there was no right of review or even the opportunity to appeal the decision,'” the report reads.
One agent was allegedly suspended over “his personal views that the FBI was not being entirely forthcoming about the events of January 6.” The bureau concluded the employee held “conspiratorial views,” and questioned their “allegiance to the United States.”
Other FBI allegations featured in the report
The report also alleges that the FBI:
- Has a secret partnership with Facebook in which the platform provides private user information to the bureau without the Facebook user’s consent or other legal processes.
- Has “looked the other way” on nearly 70 violent attacks against pro-life groups and facilities, while selectively enforcing federal law to go after pro-life activists.
- Abuses its counterterrorism authorities to investigate parents who spoke up at school board meetings.

J. Edgar Hoover would be proud to see how far the current losers at the Feeble Eye have advanced his politiciziation of the bureau. It is time for the FBI to join other ignominious governmental failures, on the rubbish heap of history.
Granted, we need a government agency to investigate and prosecute federal crimes, and one to conduct counterintelligence and counterterrorist operations, but should not be the same agency. Counterspies make lousy bank-robber catchers and vice versa.
THE FBI should be disbanded, and two new agencies created (smaller than the current behemoth). Former FBI agents could be considered for employment at one of the new agencies IF they are screened and found not to have been part of the rot.

How could this happen? We are talking about 35,000 employees the vast majority of whom went along with breaking US laws.
The only solution is to fire all those who did not honor their employment pledge and prosecute all those who did not follow the relevant laws. If they did not know, they are too incompetent to serve. We can not just turn over the leaders who turn over anyway when there is a change in who holds the Presidency and Congress.
If those who went along or were ignorant remain employed, the current environment will persist and it will happen again!
