January 1, Report: Someone Close To Trump Tipped Off FBI
An informant tipped off the FBI about what documents former President Donald Trump was keeping at his Mar-a-Lago residence and where to find them, according to multiple reports.
The FBI raided Mar-a-Lago on Monday. Various media outlets and Trump’s son, Eric Trump, have suggested that it was because of material the former president took from the White House to his home.
Two unnamed senior government officials told Newsweek that an informant revealed to authorities what documents Trump had in his possession and where they were kept.
According to the outlet’s sources, the raid was executed while Trump was away to keep the process under wraps for as long as possible. One official said the move was a “spectacular backfire” after the raid received immense backlash.
The Wall Street Journal’s reporting corroborated the information from Newsweek. The Journal also spoke to unnamed officials familiar with the situation who confirmed that an individual told investigators that there were classified documents at Trump’s Palm Beach residence.
On Thursday, Attorney General Merrick Garland said he “personally approved the decision to seek a search warrant in this matter.”
“The department does not take such a decision lightly. Where possible, it is standard practice to seek less intrusive means as an alternative to a search and to narrowly scope any search that is undertaken,” Garland said.

One of the worst mistakes of overreach, from the SS gestapoFBI, and a corrupt,bias,DOJ, U have done something never ever done before,in American history,U have tried to destroy DJT for the last 7 years, harrassed his family, framed him, now u have the American people against the government,because they can’t be trusted. Garland is looking for info on Hunter Biden and the big guy, they have the lap top and said first that they lost it, then they said they would turn it over for peruse, and evidence, but so far have sat on it. Garland hopes to clean up the dossier of Hunter and Big guy, by gathering and losing all the info including the lap top. They have to know what Trump is holding in this area, their search is for CYA of a failed demented thieving President and son. Plain to me.

People act like Trump boxed up all this stuff himself before leaving office. Hardly, boxing up stuff was delegated to staff. Other Presidents have left office with official documents as well that had to be returned. Nobody made a federal case out of it. Trump had already returned several boxes and would have happily turned these over as well. Anybody that doesn’t see how the Democrats are after totalitarian control of the country are refusing to deal in reality.
