January 1, Pro-Life Summit Celebrates Major Legislative Victory

Mike Johnson, our House Speaker and a true champion for American values, returned to the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) to celebrate a big win for families and the pro-life movement. Mike shared some exciting news about a “One Big, Beautiful Bill” that’s got a lot of folks cheering.

In a speech at ADF’s summit in Florida, he talked about the new bill heading to President Trump. It’s loaded with good stuff for America! We’re talking more money for national defense, stronger border security, and some great tax cuts.

Mike said this bill is a huge win for families. He talked about increasing the child tax credit—great news for families everywhere! Plus, there’s more paid family leave, special accounts for newborns, and lower taxes for everyone. This means more families can chase the American dream of owning a home.

And guess what? The bill lines up perfectly with ADF’s pro-life goals. Mike proudly announced they’ve stopped tax dollars from going to fund abortions. “No more funds for evil organizations that hurt unborn babies,” he said. That’s right, folks—no more funding for Planned Parenthood.

There’s a bit of a challenge though. Some judge put a pause on that ban for now, but we know that’s not the end of it.

Mike thanked the ADF for helping him get ready for his tough job in Washington. He misses his days at ADF, saying they really shaped him for the work he’s doing now. He appreciates everyone at ADF for staying on the front lines and doing God’s work.

Kristen Waggoner, head of ADF, also thanked Mike for supporting them. She said it’s amazing to see the progress for pro-life laws and how important it is for leaders to fight for our families and unborn babies.

She mentioned a big win at the Supreme Court where South Carolina can stop giving Medicaid money to Planned Parenthood. This shows we’re moving in the right direction for pro-life laws.

The road is long, but with wins like Medina and this new bill, it’s clear we’re fighting back and standing up for what’s right. Keep it up, America!
