Wyatt’s Take

  • Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on his birthday for suspected misconduct.
  • This marks the first time a senior Royal faces charges like these.
  • Public trust in elite institutions is shaken yet again.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, once known as Prince Andrew, was taken into custody at the Sandringham estate on February 19. Police acted following growing concerns over the Epstein Files and alleged misconduct in public office.

“Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office,” assistant chief constable Oliver Wright stated.

Reports say multiple unmarked police cars and officers arrived early that morning. The former royal’s current location remains unknown.

Police shared, “We have today (19/2) arrested a man in his 60s from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.”

The case is historic, as no Royal Family member has ever faced such charges before. Andrew was already under the spotlight for sharing sensitive details with Jeffrey Epstein while acting as a trade envoy.

The situation also reignites old accusations from Virginia Giuffre, who said she was trafficked to Mountbatten-Windsor by Epstein.

In November 2025, King Charles III removed Andrew’s titles and royal status, pushing him further out of public life.

Mountbatten-Windsor has denied all the allegations.

Keep an eye out—this case is far from over.
