January 1, Police Seize Robot After Alleged Groping Incident

Wyatt’s Take
- Police had to step in when a robot got out of line and put its hands on a minor.
- Authorities are now looking into whether two young men were running the show from behind the scenes.
- The case shows how quickly new technology can create real-world problems when no one is watching.
Cologne police moved fast after a robot was accused of grabbing a 16-year-old girl. The machine was taken into custody right away.
Officers are now trying to figure out if two young men were secretly controlling the robot’s every move during the incident.
“The device was removed from the scene immediately,” a police spokesperson stated.
Investigators say the case is still open while they check whether the robot was acting on its own or following orders from the two men.
“We are examining all possibilities, including remote operation,” the spokesperson added.
The incident has raised fresh questions about who is responsible when machines cross the line.
