Pelosi Says She’ll ‘Never Forgive’ Trump for Jan. 6 [Video]

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told reports she would “never forgive” former President Donald Trump and his allies for inciting the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

“I’ll never forgive [Trump] and his lackeys and his bullies that he sent to the Capitol for the trauma … that was exerted on our staff,” Pelosi said.

Amid an uptick in threats of violence against elected officials, Pelosi blamed Trump and the individuals who stormed the Capitol for the unease many staffers now experience going to work.

Pelosi’s remarks came in response to a question about a statement signed by more than 300 congressional staffers this week. The statement calls on leadership to act in light of Rep. Lauren Boebert’s (R-CO) anti-Muslim comments, which the staffers feel “puts our safety at risk.”

“The way it traumatized them, it was frightening. That’s something that you cannot just say well, we’ll do legislation to make sure this or that doesn’t happen again. You cannot erase that,” Pelosi said.
