January 1, Outrage Grows Over Petition For Illegal Trucker
Wyatt’s Take
- Millions rally for leniency after deadly Florida truck crash
- Foreign drivers face backlash after fatal accident
- Families plead, but safety of Americans hangs in the balance
A petition pushing for mercy for an illegal immigrant trucker accused of killing three people in Florida has drawn over 2 million signatures.
Harjinder Singh, 28, could spend decades behind bars after being charged with three counts of vehicular homicide for an illegal turn that led to the deadly wreck.
Over 2 million people have signed a rapidly growing petition calling for reduced sentencing in the case of Harjinder Singh, a 28-year-old truck driver accused of making an illegal U-turn that killed three people in Florida on August 12.

The petition argues the crash was a tragic accident, not intentional, and asks Florida Governor DeSantis to reduce his punishment.
Family members in India pleaded for compassion, worried about the impact on those back home if Singh receives decades in prison.
After the crash, Singh fled to California, where U.S. Marshals caught and returned him to Florida.
Officials called Singh a threat to public safety and denied him bond. His immigration case was ongoing at the time of the tragedy.
In the aftermath, Florida leaders froze commercial truck driver visas, saying foreign drivers jeopardize American lives and American truckers’ jobs.
Some overseas politicians have protested, calling the crackdown unfair to migrant truckers and their families.
If you want our roads safe and American workers protected, these decisions matter for every family in the heartland.
Wyatt Matters
Protecting our families and keeping our roads safe comes first. Immigration laws and safety rules exist to keep regular folks from suffering heartbreak because someone ignored the rules. It shouldn’t take a tragedy to put American lives ahead of special interests.

Keep them off the road. He made an ILLEGAL u-turn, if he does not know the difference from legal to illegal he should not be driving and deserves punishment for killing 3 human beings.

Can’t be hard to find out who issued him a CDL license and ask that person who authorized them to hand out licenses to illegals
some one is responsible for these deaths if the DMV person did it on their own or where they told by Newscum to hand out licenses
we need to have answers and how many more are out there driving illegally. Some one in California needs to be held accountable and
responsible.
