January 1, Netanyahu Warns of Urgent Threat from Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a big interview with Fox News. He said something really important: he won’t let Iran cause another big tragedy like the Holocaust. Iran has been making dangerous stuff, like enriching uranium, and that’s a big problem.

Netanyahu said Israel had to act fast to protect themselves and the world from Iran’s dangerous plans. Iran has been shooting lots of missiles at Israel, which hurt many people. Thirteen sadly died, including three kids, and many others got hurt. Netanyahu says it’s clear that Iran was trying to make nuclear weapons and might have enough material for nine bombs! Netanyahu is serious. He says we won’t let another tragedy happen. During the interview, he mentioned Israel took out Iran’s chief intelligence officer right in their capital, Tehran, along with other military leaders.

This wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment decision. Netanyahu says he’s been working closely with former President Donald Trump on this. It’s about keeping Israel, America, and the whole world safe from these dangerous weapons.

Some of Iran’s nuclear places are really deep underground, which makes them hard to destroy. But Netanyahu says they still have some tricks up their sleeve and didn’t say if they’d ask for help from the U.S.
