January 1, Minnesota Fraud Fight Sparks Billions Debate

Wyatt’s Take
- Governor Walz says the state saw $217 million in fraud, but a federal prosecutor claims it’s closer to $9 billion.
- Leaders are arguing over how much money was stolen from programs for children and families.
- Recent arrests show fraud is real and happening now.
Minnesota’s governor says fraud in state programs isn’t a big problem. He released a website insisting only $217 million has been stolen since 2022.
But a federal prosecutor disagrees, saying the real number is about $9 billion and covers 14 different assistance programs.
The website says:
“Fraud is a nationwide challenge and is not unique to Minnesota. Higher visibility does not equal higher fraud.”
“Targeted misinformation thrust Minnesota into the spotlight, but we are committed to leading the nation in Medicaid program integrity and fighting fraud.”
Senator Mark Johnson criticized the governor for hiding the true scale.
He said:
“Governor Walz can try to deny the fraud, call it ‘make believe,’ or minimize it as no different than other states all he wants.”
“Minnesotans are seeing with their own eyes the reality that vulnerable people are being taken advantage of while fraudsters line their own pockets with taxpayers’ money.”
“The consequences of fraud are not just expensive and wasteful, they are heartbreaking.”
“Every individual and family getting services should have full confidence that government is stopping bad actors, rooting out fake billing and scam companies, and prosecuting fraudsters to the full extent of the law.”
“Democrats have proven they are simply not interested in using their power to hold their leaders accountable.”
“Senate Republicans will hold Walz and his administration responsible for these failures.”
This week, two men admitted to cheating Minnesota’s housing program for $3.5 million using fake documents made with artificial intelligence.
If the government can’t admit the problem, how can anyone have faith it’ll be fixed? Stay updated with us as we track where your money’s really going.

On the other hand, tampon Tim doesn’t know how to tell the truth! In fact, I seriously doubt he even understands “what” truth really is.

Only $217M was stolen since 2022? Walz, Ellison and Omar were sworn in Jan. 2019. Some of MN major fraud was first discovered in 2018. The whistleblowers were disciplined. The FBI started investigating fraud in 2021 and charged 47 people from Feeding Our Future in 2022. By mid-Jan 2025 A total of 70 people had been charged under Biden Admin. Bondi said that so far 98 have been charged (85 Somalians) of which 60 have been found guilty so far. 70% charged were pre-Trump. When this was first discovered, why did it continue from 2018 thru 2025? Those agencies involved should have been shut down. When it was first investigated by the Trump Admin., it was still happening from the Biden regime. Walz can’t possibly think he’s going to get away with “I didn’t know it was happening” and it was only $217M. More like $19B when it’s over. The media was silent. This rot goes way deeper than the welfare fraudsters in MN. That’s only a few welfare programs investigated – they need to look into all welfare programs (in all states, starting with Dem states).

ONLY $217,000,000.00 and not $9,000,000,000.00? Well, I guess it’s OK then.
