January 1, 15-Year-Old in Custody After Mass Shooting in North Carolina

Police in North Carolina confirmed that a 15-year-old suspect killed five people and injured two others after opening fire in a Raleigh neighborhood.
Multiple reports identified the suspect as Austin Thompson. One of the victims killed in the shooting was his 16-year-old brother, James Thompson. Raleigh Police Chief Estella Patterson identified the other four victims who lost their lives as off-duty police Officer Gabriel Torres, 29, Nicole Conners, 52, Mary Marshall, 35, and Susan Karnatz, 49.
K-9 Officer Casey Clark was injured, but has already been released from the hospital after receiving treatment. 59-year-old victim Marcille Gardner is still in critical condition.
A neighbor who witnessed the shooting told a local outlet that he called 911 at approximately 5 p.m.
“I heard two gunshots, and they were really loud so I knew something was close by, and then I heard three other gunshots,” the Hedingham resident said. “I saw him basically pass my house in the backyard. He had a long-barrel shotgun. He was dressed in camo. He had a full backpack on that was also camouflage.”
Police said the suspect was detained after 9:30 p.m. on Thursday after a laborious manhunt that lasted several hours. Chief Patterson said the suspect is in critical condition at a local hospital. According to reports, it is currently unclear how he sustained injuries necessitating his hospitalization.
“We’re standing with you in this moment of unspeakable agony,” North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) said during a press conference on Friday. “No one should feel this fear in their communities. No one. As policymakers, we cannot, and we will not, turn away from what has happened here.”

Right away Biden and his administration are using another tragedy to push their anti-gun agenda. This was a long barrel rifle, not an AK-15. Who knows why this boy did what he did, killing his own brother amongst others. This is definitely a “mental” issue and not a gun issue but leave it up to Biden to make it so. He says how he and Jill grieve for these people, please! It’s getting to a point where people feel oppressed by their own government. Sending billions to the Ukraine. They aren’t innocent yet he keeps funding their terrorism. This isn’t our fight.

We only have these kind of shootings and killings when a Democrat is in office. It happened when Illegal Obama was in office and here we go again. Also, was he on any kind of depression medicine, which causes a lot of killings for those who don’t realize that. God bless the families of those killed in this tragedy.
