January 1, Marjorie Taylor Greene Introduces Bill Criminalizing “Gender-Affirming Care” for Kids
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced a bill that would criminalize providing “gender-affirming” medical care to patients under 18.
Under Greene’s “Protect Children’s Innocence Act,” providing treatment to change one’s body “to correspond to a sex that differs from their biological sex,” such as puberty blockers or hormone therapy, to transgender minors would be a class C felony.
“These procedures for profit permanently disfigure kids before they even know what they want to do when they grow up,” Greene wrote on Twitter.
If enacted, “knowingly perform[ing] any gender-affirming care on a minor” would be a crime punishable by a 10-25 year prison sentence and a maximum fine of $250,000.
Greene unveiled her bill during an appearance on the Fox News show Tucker Carlson Tonight.
“When it comes to ‘gender-affirming care,’ which is really child abuse — this is actually an assault, and it’s child abuse,” Greene told Tucker Carlson.
“This practice should never happen,” she said. “It’s so disgusting and appalling … this needs to be illegal.”
So far, the Protect Children’s Innocence Act has 14 cosponsors: Republican Reps. Mary Miller (IL), Jeff Duncan (S.C.), Bob Good (VA), Ralph Norman (S.C.), Matt Gaetz (FL), Tony Gonzales (TX), Diana Harshbarger (TN), Clay Higgins (LA), Burgess Owens (UT), Claudia Tenney (N.Y.), Andrew Clyde (GA), Lance Gooden (TX), Lauren Boebert (CO), and Paul Gosar (AZ).
Greene also confirmed that two Senate candidates had pledged their support if elected: J.D. Vance (OH) and Blake Masters (AZ).

LOVE MTG! She’s a fearless lady who works tirelessly and will not be silenced. No matter what the libtards throw at her, she always swings back and knocks it out of the park and she does it pretty much alone! I hardly EVER SEE anybody in government supporting or standing with her which I think is weird. She’s every bit as good as DeSantis, but theres only so much she can do as a congresswoman. GO MTG! Your America’s Congresswoman and DeSantis is America’s Governor. I think you two should team up to run for the oval! THAT would be EPIC for America.

SHE probably brought the bill up because SHE was PISSED OFF that there was nothing there to help HER decide what SHE really was, I sure as hell can’t figure out what she is, SHE’S to F—ING UGLY to either sex, maybe she’s related to E.T. As far as telling it to that F—ING IDIOT TUCKER CARLSON is NO OTHER news station wanted to hear anymore of her BABBLING BULLSHIT, that’s the only kind of news that comes off that station.
