Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is vying for a spot in Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign as his running mate, according to a new report.

NBC reported on Wednesday that multiple people have spoken to the Georgia Republican about her ambitions.

Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon told NBC that Greene “is no shrinking violet.”

“She’s ambitious — she’s not shy about that, nor should she be,” Bannon said.

“She sees herself on the short list for Trump’s VP. Paraphrasing Cokie Roberts, when MTG looks in the mirror she sees a potential president smiling back,” Bannon said.

Her ardent support of Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s speakership bid was a strategic “power move,” Bannon said. Although aligning with McCarthy alienated Greene from some of her allies in the Freedom Caucus, it made her a real “player” in the GOP.

“She was prepared to take the intense heat/hatred short-term for the long-term goal of being a player,” the conservative strategist said.

An unnamed ally of Greene’s, who was only willing to speak on-the-record anonymously, told the outlet the congresswoman has been clear that her “ultimate goal” is to become vice president.

Trump has yet to weigh-in on any serious candidates for his VP pick. It likely won’t be former Vice President Mike Pence, after the two had a public falling out in the aftermath of the 2020 election.

Not sure it’s such a good choice, especially after insensitive and outright stupid remarks about Jewish lasers. The Dems will pounce on her for that one and all the race-baiters and race grifters will paint her as a graduate of the KKK.

She is a good choice if it ever gets that far.

A much better choice for Trump’s VP would be Keri Lake from Arizona. She is a true fighter and patriot.

She would be a great choice – if the objective is to get the Democratic nominee elected…
