January 1, ‘Lock Your Doors Tonight’: Senator Speaks Out After Classified Briefing on UFOs

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…
1840: American Charles Wilkes discovers Shackleton Ice Shelf, Antarctica.

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) advised Americans to “lock your doors” after a classified briefing on the series of unidentified flying objects that were shot down in recent days.

The U.S. has shot down four objects that were flying over North American airspace since Feb. 4. The Pentagon identified the first object as a Chinese surveillance balloon, but the Defense Department has not yet confirmed exactly what the other three objects were. On Tuesday, the White House said the mysterious flying objects “could be tied to commercial or research entities and benign.”

Top intelligence and military officials briefed Senators on Tuesday. Following the classified briefing, the lawmakers spoke with reporters, largely expressing a need for more transparency from the Biden administration.

“The American people need and deserve to know more,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said. “There is a lot of information presented to us this morning that could be told to the American people without any harm to sources or methods or national security, and the American people need to know more so they’ll have more confidence in our national security.”

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) echoed Blumenthal’s sentiments, saying: “95% of what was discussed in that room today could be made public without compromising the security of this country.”

Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton expressed concerns that intelligence officials are providing “contradictory” explanations, saying that while they do not know where the objects came from, they are confident that they do not pose a threat.

“I appreciate the military coming to brief us, I appreciate the intelligence community briefing Congress in a classified setting. But Americans are worried, they’re concerned, they’re interested and they have a right to know why President Biden directed the actions that he did over the last week,” Cotton said.

“President Biden owes the American people an explanation. President Biden should speak on camera directly to the American people today.”

Kennedy said that these aerial objects are not a new phenomenon, but the government just started shooting them down within the last two weeks.

“Many people, intentionally or otherwise, have been given the impression that a couple weeks ago, our skies were clear, and then all of a sudden we have spy balloons and other unidentified flying objects raining down on us like confetti,” Kennedy told reporters. “That is not accurate. These objects have been flying over us for years — many years.”

“It’s clear to me this is not a recent phenomenon,” Kennedy told reporters, adding that “this has been going on” since at least 2017. The lawmaker also called for more transparency, saying: “If you are confused, you understand the situation perfectly.”

Kennedy noted that the U.S. has been unable to “find the remnants, except for the spy balloon.”

The GOP senator concluded his comments to the media by saying, perhaps jokingly, “Lock your doors tonight.”

So these objects have been flying over for many years huh, well that explains a lot. Where was our gov. survalliance? How could these agencies involved let this go unnoticed. I like how President Trump was targeted at fault. It is not the presidents job to look skyward all over the USA and then deciden to take down UFO of anything not American. So he is totally innocent of this. It is CIA, FBI and we have other terrorist organizations that are to do surrvaliance on questionable activities. So where were they? Maybe we need smaller more accurate and competent government.
