Wyatt’s Take

  • A PAC backing Kamala Harris scrubbed its site after a fundraising text referenced Alex Pretti, shot by Border Patrol.
  • The donation page linked to ActBlue, but both the PAC’s website and donation form were soon taken down.
  • Democrats called to stop federal enforcement in Minnesota, and the PAC has a record of spending only on Harris’s failed run.

A group supporting Kamala Harris faced backlash for asking for donations right after a fatal Border Patrol shooting in Minneapolis. The PAC’s text blasted out Saturday pushed cash and mentioned Alex Pretti, then linked people to a fundraising site on ActBlue.

Soon, both the donation page and the PAC’s whole website disappeared. On Sunday, anyone clicking the link found a message saying, “This fundraiser is not currently accepting any donations.” The PAC’s donate button stopped working, and later the website showed only an error page.

The message also urged Minnesota’s Democrat governor to end federal operations, echoing Democrat efforts to drive federal law enforcement from their state.

A Minneapolis pollster flagged the fundraising text online, calling for anyone involved to quit their job.

“If you work for an organization or consultant that had anything to do with this you need to quit your job today.”

It was unclear if donations were still being accepted when the screenshots were posted. ActBlue, the tech company hosting the donation link, replied to complaints, saying they only run the platform, not the campaigns.

“But we hear you, please know our team is listening and is exploring ways to address exploitative practices.”

A user also pointed out that the PAC once misspelled the governor’s name as “Waltz.” The group’s filings show it only spent in support of Harris and had over a million dollars in the bank last fall.

The treasurer is named Nantambu Foley, who previously worked for a Democrat congressman and hosted a political podcast. The PAC claimed to boost youth voter turnout and had a small YouTube channel with only a handful of subscribers, but one ad topped 70,000 views.

Comments were turned off on their most-watched video. Meanwhile, the group’s online platforms keep disappearing as the controversy grows.

Just goes to show you they don’t care about their supporters. They only care about how much money they can raise by exploiting the situation and trying to hide their fraud!

It may be possible that one might consider the PAC was committing fraudulent activity, referencing a recent unrelated issue to obtain funds for an entirely unrelated purpose …
