Wyatt’s Take

  • Trump endorsed Clay Fuller to hold this deep-red Georgia seat.
  • House GOP majority hangs by a thread at just 217 votes.
  • Greene’s Trump feud over Epstein files vacated a key district.

Clay Fuller, backed by President Trump, and Democrat Shawn Harris head to an April 7 runoff for Marjorie Taylor Greene’s old Georgia seat.

Greene quit on January 5 after clashing with Trump on Epstein files, despite past alliance.

Speaker Mike Johnson’s Republican edge stays razor-thin after Rep. Kevin Kiley said he’d caucus with GOP but ditch the party.

Two more House vacancies loom, one GOP-leaning and one Dem-leaning.

Harris, a farmer and retired general, posted on X:

“Marjorie Taylor Greene isn’t on the ballot, but the fallout from her feud still is.”

He added:

“This race isn’t about loyalty to Trump. It’s about loyalty to the voters of Northwest Georgia.”

“I’m running to serve the people here at home — not chase anyone in Washington.”

Trump praised Fuller on Truth Social as backed by top MAGA warriors and House Republicans.

In November, Greene explained:

“Loyalty should be a two-way street.”

She said:

“I’ve been blessed to represent the 14th District of Georgia for five years. That district is filled with some of the most wonderful, kind-hearted, God-fearing, patriotic, hardworking people you will ever meet.”

“Good, regular, common Americans.”

Greene noted:

“Because my self worth is not defined by a man, but instead by God, who created everything in existence.”

The district went heavy for Trump at 68% and Greene at 64% over Kamala Harris’s 36% in 2024.

Georgia’s Senate race stays a toss-up with Jon Ossoff facing a GOP primary winner like Mike Collins or Buddy Carter.

Folks in Northwest Georgia, rally for Fuller to keep Washington in check and protect our slim majority.
