January 1, “Jesus Was Trans”: Tensions Rise During Drag Show Protest
Tensions ran high at an all-ages drag show as protesters and attendees came to a head.
The Attic Bar & Stage in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, hosted an “all ages drag brunch” last weekend. In response, a protest was organized on social media to “protect the children.”
There was a “heavy police presence after physical altercations” between the two groups, according to reporter Abdusselam Bezirgan.
No arrests have been reported.
Protesters had their signs stolen and destroyed by LGBTQ supporters, who called them “Nazis” and chanted incendiary phrases.
“Two women stole two protesters’ signs and the altercation forced them into oncoming traffic,” Bezirgan said.
“Police presence grew from two officers to 12 as tensions kept rising,” he added. “The LGBTQ side chanted ‘Jesus was trans’ and called the protesters ‘Nazis.'”
One protester’s sign read, “freedom for our children.” One counter-protester’s sign read, “we’re here, we’re queer, we will not live in fear.”
After becoming aware of the protest, some LGBTQ supporters organized a counterprotest on social media.
“Bring friends, signs, FLAGS and noise to drown out the hate,” one Twitter post reads, alongside a siren emoji.

Jesus a tran!? Very possible but not likely if he was a Asian monastic I doubt very much if the monastery would keep him and he most likely would not be able to perform those monastic feats written in the bible. Asian monasteries are very strict in the kind of subjects they accept and transgenderism would be considered a great flaw and a hinderance to their monastic duties.
