The Iraq Ministry of Interior claims they are acting on precise intelligence to find the perpetrators. They seized one of the vehicles used in the brazen daytime kidnapping.

“Security forces immediately launched an operation to apprehend the perpetrators, acting on precise intelligence and through intensive field operations, tracking the kidnappers’ movements.”

Kittleson is known for reporting from war zones and has worked for various international news outlets. No group has stepped forward to claim responsibility for taking her yet.
