January 1, Inoperable Pipe Bombs: Unraveling the Mystery of Jan. 6 Events

Published

on

Two pipe bombs, later deemed “inoperable,” were conspicuously placed near the Democratic and Republican Party headquarters in Washington, D.C., a day before the Capitol protests on Jan. 6, 2021. The narrative surrounding these events has been called into question over time.

Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker confirmed — despite constant pressure from the Biden Department of Justice — that the individual who discovered the pipe bomb at the DNC was, in fact, a plainclothes officer of the United States Capitol Police (USCP).

This officer’s fortuitous discovery did not seem to alarm then-Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ Secret Service detail. Furthermore, the FBI has yet to apprehend the suspect, despite having footage of the individual who supposedly placed the bombs and knowledge of their route.

Baker’s ongoing investigation into the pipe bomb plot has unearthed troubling signs that the initial investigation was flawed, particularly regarding the USCP-controlled cameras.

In his examination of numerous hours of CCTV footage provided by Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), Baker found that three USCP surveillance cameras, typically directed at the DNC office building, were mysteriously turned away from the scene shortly after the alleged explosive device was found. The third camera also seems to have been moved off-target, but footage obtained by Blaze News shows it still managed to capture a portion of the bomb’s disposal.

Despite the swift redirection of the CCTV cameras, Baker noted a lack of urgency among the responding law enforcement agencies in stopping train service along nearby tracks or clearing the area of children, all of whom were potentially at risk if the bomb was real and viable.

The officer who first discovered the bomb — where a bomb-sniffing dog had reportedly found nothing of interest just hours before — appeared particularly nonchalant about his discovery.

“I’ve mentioned before a lackadaisical response from everyone, but the actual  Capitol Police officer walks first over to the police vehicle and he’s not in any hurry,” Baker told Blaze News. “If I’m a cop and I see a pipe with a timer on it, I’m running [to notify the relevant authorities], you know what I mean?”

Baker observed that the officer’s pace did not quicken afterward. Instead, the officer can be seen leisurely walking over to the Secret Service vehicle associated with Kamala Harris, who was inside the DNC at the time, to alert them without any urgency. According to Baker, Harris and the Secret Service managed to finish their lunches.

“There’s nothing logical about that situation,” said Baker.

The failure to halt the train, the delay in warning pedestrians, and the generally “lackadaisical response” from the plainclothes USCP officer, the MPD, and the Secret Service, were all enough to raise Baker’s suspicions. However, the USCP’s timely videography choices prompted even more questions about whether there may have been a reason not to take the so-called bombs seriously at the time — perhaps because they were recognizable fakes or due to prior knowledge.

After all, Baker told Blaze News that there would have been no good reason to divert the cameras “except that you’re trying to protect a certain type of technology,” but that explanation does not appear to hold up either as the bomb disposal equipment used was not secret or unique.

On Jan. 6, that would have made for a short list: Chief Steven Sund; Sean Gallagher, then-acting chief of uniformed operations; and Yogananda Pittman, assistant chief of police for protective and intelligence operations.

The list was shortened further, leaving just Gallagher or Pittman as Sund previously indicated he wasn’t notified about the DNC pipe bomb until after its discovery.

The timeline of the Jan. 6 protests at the Capitol also suggests Sund was calling in reinforcements, “but Gallagher and Pittman were both monitoring what was going on … and they were the only ones with actual command authority to tell somebody to move that away,” said Baker.

Camera number 3173, with a view on the DNC parking garage since at least Dec. 28, 2020, begins to pan and zoom in on the position of the device just minutes after the plainclothes USCP officer walks over to a MPD police vehicle, then over to the Secret Service. However, just after 1:40 p.m., the camera is directed away from the scene and left in that position until at least midnight.

Another camera, had an excellent bird’s eye view from the rooftop of the nearby Fairchild Building. That camera, too, was deliberately turned away from the scene just at 1:44 p.m. until the conclusion of the initial investigation and the bomb’s destruction.

Pressed to speculate, Baker told Blaze News, “I believe somebody knew that these devices were inert, that these were not viable devices, and they did not want cameras on that scene.”

Footage reviewed indicates an attempt to hide the investigation from public consumption. However, unlike the other two cameras, this one captured more details.

Baker said that the camera was “curiously not focused on the scene,” even though when “panned out, it had the ability to see everything. In fact, from this camera, we actually see the motorcade go around to the other side of the building and take Kamala Harris away.”

“At that camera position, we would be able to see the entire investigation. We’d be able to see the deployment of the robot. We’d be able to see the bomb crews. We’d be able to see the cleanup of the investigation afterwards,” continued Baker. “But then suddenly, once again, this camera pulls into a very, very tight focus and you can’t see the actual bomb.”

The camera accidentally captures footage of the bomb squad’s effort to destroy the so-called bomb.

“We see the robot suddenly come into frame at the far left of the screen and then we see the robot go over and pick up the bomb,” said Baker.

Baker suspects that whoever was messing with the camera “got distracted by the melee that was going on at the Capitol at the time,” because the Metropolitan Police Department bomb squad robot can then be seen “clumsily” ditching the bomb against a curb instead of a bomb blast containment bin.

The so-called bomb is seen breaking apart — on account of a “bomb disposal water disruptor,” which disarms explosive devices from a distance.

Why It Matters (op-ed)

The official narrative surrounding the pipe bombs found near the Democratic and Republican Party headquarters has been called into question, and rightly so. With the troubling signs unearthed by Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker, it’s clear that there’s more to this story than meets the eye.

The lack of urgency among responding law enforcement agencies, the redirection of USCP-controlled cameras, and the leisurely pace of the plainclothes officer who discovered the bomb all raise serious concerns about the integrity of the initial investigation. It seems as though those involved may have had foreknowledge that the bombs were not a real threat.

This entire situation reeks of a cover-up at the highest levels of law enforcement. The American people deserve answers and transparency, not a conveniently crafted narrative that fits a political agenda.

Probably the same “unknown” individual who left Cocaine in the white house! Gives the American Citizen a lot of confidence in the Washington DC law “enforcement”.

I am going to make a speculation about all of this: The fake bombs were going to be used to scare away everyone legit attending the Trump rally except for those who were rats of BLM and Antifa (who would have been given a heads-up notice that bombs were fake) but the proverbial cat got out of the bag ahead of schedule and so extremely unhurried responses are seen by the security forces because they knew was all fake from the beginning.

If this is a true account, it seems to smack of what nowadays is called SWATting: fake warnings of s terrorist attack, such as phone calls “threatening” to kill judges, lawmakers dignataries of various kinds, and celebreties. Planting inert bombs (which could have been done using robots or human villains) then allowing or helping somebody (like the plainclothes cop) to discover them could have been a SWAT operation. But by whom and for what purpose?

The FBI said in the beginning the bombs were viable.

So they throw hundreds of True American citizens into PRISON, still doing so even today for protesting their rights on January 6th, most still without any trials! And yet they treat the pipe bombs like they are just Lego toys and nothing to worry about! And this is why not only most of Americans have near zero ratings for ALL government institutions, but for ALL elitists, and a very heavy dislike towards the leftist form of government!
