January 1, Idaho funeral home closed over ‘suspicious circumstances’
Idaho police temporarily closed a funeral home and obtained a search warrant amid a sprawling investigation after a badly decomposed body was found, per local reports.
Officers arrived at Downard Funeral Home and Crematory to investigate “suspicious circumstances,” the Pocatello Police Department said.
Police received a tip to visit the funeral home from a health inspector who recently visited the property. Authorities reportedly found several poorly kept bodies on the premises.
Law enforcement requested that the public stay clear of the area “out of respect for family members.”
