January 1, Hunter Laptop Letter Signer Still Blames Russia
Wyatt’s Take
- Former intelligence officials won’t back down from the Russia narrative about Hunter Biden’s laptop.
- The infamous 2020 letter was intended to give Joe Biden cover in his election debate against Trump.
- There’s still no real evidence linking the Russians to the laptop, despite what these insiders claim.
The man who helped sign the notorious letter about the Hunter Biden laptop back in 2020 is doubling down. Larry Pfeiffer insists that “the Russians played some role” in the situation, even today, despite the lack of solid evidence supporting that claim.
Pfeiffer, a former CIA official, made these comments on the SpyTalk podcast earlier in August. He tried to dismiss new evidence showing questionable actions by the U.S. intelligence community in 2016. Instead, he kept pointing the finger at Russia over Hunter’s laptop, repeating old talking points.
The laptop story exploded right before the 2020 election. It revealed the shady foreign business ties of Joe Biden’s son and was reported by the New York Post. Yet the story was censored on social media and downplayed by mainstream news outlets — the same folks who only admitted it was real after Biden won.
Pfeiffer told the podcast, “We never said the laptop was fake, in fact, I think we said the laptop and the emails may very well be real. In fact, the fact that they are and were real smacks even more of a Russian information operation.” When pressed, he admitted, “several of us who signed the letter haven’t seen anything to completely refute the idea that the Russians played some role in that material.”
This wasn’t just accidental. Michael Morell, who helped organize the letter, admitted he wanted to help Joe Biden win. He wrote to fellow intelligence veterans because, in his words, the letter would “give the Vice President, VP, a talking point to use in response” during the debate with Trump. The intent behind this letter was always political.
Even as House investigators uncovered that the FBI confirmed the laptop was real almost a year before the story broke, the letter and its signers held strong. They kept suggesting Russian interference, never mind the facts.
Pfeiffer even bragged that there were other signers who wanted to stay anonymous. He claimed the public deserved to be “warned” about alleged Russian schemes, all while the letter steered Americans away from the true story about Hunter’s business deals.
Even left-leaning journalists pressed Pfeiffer about the truth. With no evidence, he could only say, “Go look at what John Sipher has written. Go look at what was on his podcast. I think there’s definitely smoke, and where there is smoke there sometimes can be fire.” Smoky words, but little substance.
The mainstream media ran with the narrative, using headlines like “Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo.” Five years out, there’s still nothing proving Russia had anything to do with the laptop — just more spin and distraction.
Wyatt Matters
This story shows how the elites will twist the truth to protect their own. Working folks deserve honest answers, not smoke and mirrors from Washington’s insiders. It’s proof the political class puts their interests ahead of what’s right. Real Americans are tired of being lied to. The country deserves better.
