GOP Reps. Heckle Biden’s State of the Union Address
ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) repeatedly heckled President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address in what’s been described as an extraordinary breach of etiquette.
Biden urged Congress to pass legislation to help Iraq and Afghanistan War veterans who developed cancer from exposure to massive, toxic burn pits.
“When they came home, many of the world’s fittest and best-trained warriors were never the same: Headaches. Numbness. Dizziness.” Biden said. “A cancer that would put them in a flag-draped coffin.”
“You put them there!” Boebert yelled.
“Thirteen of them,” she added, referring to the 13 U.S. service members who died last year in a bomb attack in Kabul, Afghanistan.
“I know. One of those soldiers was my son Major Beau Biden,” the president said.
Beau Biden died in 2015 of brain cancer at age 46.
“I don’t know for sure if the burn pit that he lived near in Iraq, and earlier than that, in Kosovo, was the cause of his brain cancer, or the diseases of so many of our troops, but I am committed to finding out everything we can,” Biden said.
Boebert defended her outburst in a tweet, saying she “couldn’t stay silent.”
“The left is pissed because I called out Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan that left 13 of America’s finest in a flag-draped coffin,” Boebert said.
“They are mad because a speech was ‘interrupted.’ Ask [the] families who lost their loved ones how interrupted their lives are now.”
Boebert and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) also chanted “build the wall!” as Biden discussed his proposals for immigration reform.
