Wyatt’s Take

  • France’s student riots prove open-border policies tear nations apart from the inside
  • Radical left activists hijacked real school complaints and turned them into nationwide violence
  • America must finish what Trump started and slam the door shut on unchecked immigration

France is burning again. What started as complaints about crowded classrooms and teacher shortages has spiraled into full-blown riots across the country.

Paris streets filled with masked youths torching cars and clashing with police. The violence spread from poor suburbs to major cities like Marseille and Toulouse, leaving schools damaged and hundreds of officers injured.

“I would also say as we’re sitting here in beautiful New York City, this is a cautionary tale,” Tomi Lahren warned on The Big Weekend Show.

“This is something we’re learning from Europe, and we would be wise to learn from Europe. They decided they wanted to have open borders. They decided they wanted diversity as their strength, and of course, Joe Biden tried that for four years. We’re undoing that currently.”

Authorities arrested over five thousand people in just one week. More than one hundred high schools suffered severe damage while sixty-five teachers and principals were hurt in the chaos.

French intelligence officials traced the unrest back to hard-left politicians who exploited the school protests to attack President Macron’s government. The original grievances were real, but radicals quickly hijacked the movement for political gain.

“The students’ grievances about missing teachers and deteriorating schools were real at first,” Simone Rodan-Benzaquen said. “But dousing a principal in gasoline and attacking firefighters are acts of extreme violence. What makes this politically significant is the effort to turn frustration over schools into a much broader confrontation with the government.”

Lahren cut right to the heart of the problem.

“When you let so many people come into your country, leech off of your system, then the people who are from there are going to at some point get upset,” she explained. “They end up lighting things on fire, which I think is stupid no matter what you’re angry with, but it’s no doubt these countries that say we’re going to be a global home for everybody, they end up paying the price, and it’s usually the native Frenchmen, or whenever they are that end up paying the highest price.”

Wyatt Matters

Middle America has watched this same script play out in European cities for years. Hardworking families see their schools overcrowded, their neighborhoods changed overnight, and their voices dismissed as hateful. The lesson is simple: secure borders protect the people already here, and no nation survives by becoming a global waiting room for the entire world.
