January 1, Former Fox News Star Signs with NBC
Stephen Hayes, a conservative political analyst who left Fox News last year, has joined NBC News.
NBC announced that Hayes, the CEO of the political news and commentary website The Dispatch, joined the network as a contributor and political analyst, making his first appearance on Sunday’s Meet The Press.
“I’ve known and worked with Steve Hayes on and off for nearly 25 years. He is a principled reporter and analyst who always puts truth and facts above emotion and sentiment … even when it comes to our beloved Green Bay Packers,” said NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd, who moderates Meet The Press.
Hayes will be a key contributor to NBC’s special political and election coverage, including this year’s midterms and the 2024 presidential election.
Hayes and Jonah Goldberg announced they left Fox News in November 2021 over Tucker Carlson’s controversial docuseries about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
