Wyatt’s Take

  • Feds crack down on New Orleans, targeting illegal immigrants released by local authorities.
  • DHS says sanctuary policies put Americans at risk.
  • Border patrol presence grows as locals react.

Federal agents have landed in New Orleans to crack down on illegal immigration under a new operation called ‘Catahoula Crunch.’ Their main goal is to arrest those released by local police without telling immigration officials.

DHS singled out ten illegal immigrants recently set free, blaming city policies that let them go after serious crimes. Leaders warn this puts families in danger and forces officers to take bigger risks.

“Sanctuary policies endanger American communities by releasing illegal criminal aliens and forcing DHS law enforcement to risk their lives to remove criminal illegal aliens that should have never been put back on the streets,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin explained.

She called it “asinine” that violent offenders ended up back on the streets, mentioning crimes like home invasion and armed robbery. DHS says the new operation aims to restore public safety and order.

Hundreds of border agents are expected in New Orleans as the crackdown continues. Locals have started to protest the new measures, while more operations are planned for the region.

Too many hard-working Americans see the impact of these reckless policies up close. It’s time to put the safety and security of our communities first and protect our towns from crime.
