January 1, EXPOSED: Obama Center Contractor COLLAPSES After Staggering Unpaid Bills

Wyatt’s Take

  • A major subcontractor working on Obama’s Chicago presidential center just went belly-up, owing workers millions and laying off 25 union employees
  • The contractor claims they’re owed over $4 million for completed work — money that never came through after the center’s grand opening
  • While Obama celebrated his legacy monument, the working men and women who built it got pink slips and empty promises

Just weeks after Barack Obama cut the ribbon on his presidential center in Chicago, the people who actually did the heavy lifting are getting stiffed. A subcontractor involved in the construction has shut down operations entirely, laying off 25 union workers in the process.

The company says they’re owed more than $4 million for work already completed on the sprawling legacy project. Despite finishing their part of the job, payment never arrived.

Now those workers — the bricklayers, electricians, and tradesmen who built Obama’s monument to himself — are out of work. The contractor couldn’t keep the lights on without getting paid, so they had no choice but to close shop and send everyone home.

The Obama Center opened with all the pomp and celebrity you’d expect. Big speeches, big names, big promises about community investment and economic development. Meanwhile, the folks who poured the concrete and wired the buildings got handed walking papers.

This is the same Barack Obama who spent eight years lecturing business owners about paying their fair share and treating workers right. Apparently, that only applies when someone else is signing the checks.

The laid-off workers were union members, the kind of blue-collar Americans Democrats claim to champion every election cycle. They showed up, did honest work, and trusted they’d get paid for it. Instead, they’re filing for unemployment while Obama’s name gets chiseled in stone.

The subcontractor tried to keep operating, but you can’t run a business on IOUs. After months of waiting for payment that never came, they had to pull the plug. Twenty-five families are now wondering how they’ll make ends meet because someone up the chain didn’t hold up their end of the deal.

No word yet on who’s responsible for the unpaid invoices or whether the contractor will ever see that $4 million. What’s clear is that the people at the bottom of the ladder — the ones who actually built the thing — are the ones getting hurt.

It’s a familiar pattern: politicians take credit, developers cash checks, and working people get left holding the bag. The center stands as a monument to Obama’s presidency. For those 25 workers, it’s a reminder that promises don’t pay the mortgage.

Wyatt Matters

This is exactly what drives working folks crazy about the political class. They build monuments to themselves, throw fancy parties, and give speeches about lifting up the little guy — all while the actual little guy who swung the hammer gets laid off because nobody bothered to pay the bill. It’s not complicated: if you hire someone to do a job, you pay them when it’s done. Anything less is just another broken promise from people who never miss a paycheck themselves.

Do not forget the fantastic oceanfront house in Hawaii. Poor thing. From arriving at the White House “broke” to all the different mansions they now own.

he should be exiled from this country and have everything taken from him to pay off the bills owed

Obama is the most corrupt President ever and made millions while in office So many people were in love with this man and closed their eyes over his actions during his term of 8 years He also was the head of the snake when it came to the Russian collusion hoax He was just a bad guy and Grifter and him not paying these workers doesn’t surprise me at all

Wow! There is so much here.

Twenty-five families are now wondering how they’ll make ends meet because someone up the chain didn’t hold up their end of the deal.“

You mean to say, “Because that turd and embracement Barack Husain Obama didn’t pay them!!!”

It needs to be called ‘The Barack Husain Obama Presidential Lie-Barry’.

The project is a monumental failure and indicative of his American hating, communist loving life, just like the 8 years that POS was president.

And just maybe most of those DEI contractors were a lesson that you don’t hire people based on the color of their skin!

Why is anyone surprised? Isn’t this what the left wants? Millionaires having their wealth taken from them in the name of equity. But we know this story will never make MSM because it will make bath house Barry look bad.
