WARNING: SOME DETAILS MAY BE DISTURBING

Former senior CNN producer John Griffin has settled a lawsuit over his disturbing acts with a 9-year-old girl at his vacation home in Vermont.

Griffin, who was sentenced to over 19 years in prison for enticing minors to engage in unlawful sexual activity, faced a civil suit seeking $15 million in damages and fees.

The details of the settlement were not disclosed publicly.

Griffin’s civil attorney, Robert Berke, stated, “After months of discussions, we were able to resolve this state court civil case, and he is glad to put this behind him.”

According to the federal indictment, between April and July 2020, Griffin allegedly invited women and their underage daughters to his $2 million ski chalet in Ludlow, Vermont, for sexual training.

He even bragged about training a girl as young as 7 and claimed that age doesn’t matter when it comes to women.

The adoptive mother of the 9-year-old accepted his offer and received $3,500 in cash. During their stay at the home, Griffin watched pornographic videos about sex with mothers and daughters, and things escalated when he forced the child to perform lewd acts on her adoptive mother while he watched.

A court filing revealed that Griffin was captured with the nude child beside him in a photo taken by a drone he operated.

Griffin, who worked for CNN’s now-canceled morning program “New Day” for eight years, was fired by the network after the allegations came to light.

Prior to his arrest, he had already moved out of his $4 million Connecticut home and his wife is in the process of divorcing him.

By the time he is released from federal prison, his children will be adults.

Why It Matters (op-ed)

The recent settlement of the lawsuit involving former CNN producer John Griffin’s heinous acts with a 9-year-old girl sheds light on the disturbing reality of child exploitation. While the details of the settlement remain undisclosed, it is crucial to recognize the gravity of the situation and the long-lasting impact on the victim and her family.

Griffin’s actions, as outlined in the federal indictment, reveal a deeply disturbing pattern of behavior, including enticing minors and engaging in unlawful sexual activity. The fact that he bragged about training young girls and believed age was inconsequential when it came to women is reprehensible.

This case emphasizes the importance of protecting our children and ensuring their safety. It also serves as a reminder that those in positions of power must be held accountable for their actions, regardless of their professional standing. Griffin’s termination from CNN and the dissolution of his personal life demonstrate the severe consequences he faces.

We must continue to promote awareness, education, and stringent measures to combat child exploitation. Together, we can work towards a society where children are protected and predators face justice.

These child molesters should be castrated along with time in prison. If the punishment would fit the crime, then just maybe we wouldn’t have these criminals. It seems that we have a demonic side to our society and they are trying to make these crimes seem normal. This is what happens when you take Christ out of everything.

This country is not the place I grew up in. Parents must keep a close eye on their minor children because they can be groomed by predatory adults and can be placed in unsafe situations. Be involved with your kids and be a presence in their schools so you can know what they are learning and the people who are around them. I’m glad my kids are all adults now. Be wary of things your kids might tell you, also if they have a change in their usual behavior which can be a sign of grooming.

I understand going after the freak that initiated the meet. But what about the adult adopting mother that accepted the deal? A parent is supposed to love and protect the child!
Why is there no news of this?

It’s cases like this that prove America needs the Death Penalty. This type of thing as I can’t even call him a human should be hung in the town square to allow everyone to see what happens to a Pedophile. Maybe seeing a few hangings will possibly stop a few where the thought of harming a child might be enough a deterrent to stop them in their tracks. Once there is video or picture proof along with the child’s testimony the Death Penalty should be carried out within hours of the Verdict. Our Judicial System has become a Joke. It was bad enough that once sentenced to Death the Guilty Party usually died of old age because the appeal process is unlimited. Cut the appeals down to a bare minimum of say immediate family and the original lawyers involved. Cut down the timeline as well because now as it stands it takes 15 to 30 years to finally get to the Death that was originally called for by the Jury. Will some innocent ones get caught up in this sadly its possible but this living on Death Row or now the Living in Prison for life without the possibility of Parole is ridiculous. To think a Criminal gets the Right to 3 meals a day, the Right to attend College, the Right to Free Dental and Healthcare and the Right to Cable TV is beyond Wrong. Back when Prison was still Prison there were very few repeat criminals. Now it’s a revolving door as it seems some can’t wait to go back because of their Garenteed Benifits inside. End sentences of 25 years or more by reintroducing the Death Penalty for every Sentence above 25 years. To include Drunk Driving where a Death by Auto happens. We are told and taught from as early as we can remember to Never, Ever Drink and Drive so that should become Premeditated Murder because they knew better. Anyone convicted of the Death of a Child, Rape and Disfigurement of the individual should carry the Death Penalty. 3 strikes for committing the same crimes yep the Death Penalty. Think of the Billions of Dollars this will save the American People in Taxes that could actually go to getting our Roads and Bridges fixed. We won’t have to keep building brand new Prisons because the Convicted won’t be staying in them for very long. It’s way past time to make being a Criminal the very last thing anyone would ever want to be. Prisons shouldn’t be like going to a high class hotel like it is now. Cable TV and College should be the First things removed from Prison. Once it’s made to be the Punishment they were designed to be less will enjoy being there.
