January 1, Choir Teacher Stabbed in Park Sparks Community Outrage

Wyatt’s Take
- Violent crime is hitting our quiet neighborhoods.
- The suspect has a history of legal trouble.
- Protecting our families must be the top priority.
A senseless act of violence has left a Kansas choir teacher fighting for her life after a random attack in broad daylight. This unprovoked stabbing shows exactly why our local communities need to prioritize public safety and law enforcement support.
Jamie Trumpp was walking near North Ridgeview Road when she was brutally attacked without warning. The 38-year-old mother and middle school teacher suffered critical injuries before being rushed to the hospital.
Authorities identified the attacker as 27-year-old Kwan Noble Trezvant. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond after being charged with attempted first-degree murder.
Prosecutors claim the attack was intentional and premeditated.
Trezvant previously pleaded guilty to battery of a law enforcement officer just last year.
Reports show he has a history of obstructing the legal process and drug paraphernalia charges.
Now, a community is left reeling as they organize fundraisers to support the victim’s recovery.
Wyatt Matters
Middle America deserves to feel safe in public parks without fearing random violence from repeat offenders. We must demand a justice system that keeps dangerous individuals off our streets for good.

Why are violent, dangerous repeat offenders and criminals allowed to loiter everywhere? Safety means nothing. Crime victims mean nothing.
