Wyatt’s Take

  • Charlamagne tha God says Jasmine Crockett is a strong messenger for Democrats.
  • He disagrees with those calling her style political grandstanding and says she’s exactly who Democrats need.
  • He also points out that most Americans care most about safety and money, not fancy speeches.

Radio host Charlamagne tha God came out swinging, telling Democrats they ought to “lean into” Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, praising her as a “phenomenal messenger.” He said this while pushing back against criticism from another talk host who accused Crockett of attention-seeking.

He gave her credit for calling out Donald Trump and his administration, arguing she hits at the heart of issues like how Washington treats ordinary Americans.

Charlamagne didn’t hold back, calling Crockett “the most effective messenger that the Democratic Party has right now.” He claimed Democrats talk up Crockett behind closed doors, while Republicans criticize her openly.

He also gave another shoutout to New York City’s new mayor, saying voters care most about two things: “You want more money in your pocket and you want to be able to feel safe.”

According to him, this simple message is a winning formula that everyone from Trump to local candidates use, because it cuts through to what matters most.
